From May 22, some new features appeared on the VNeID application such as Registering digital signature certificates, Reviewing signed certificates as well as Digital signature history. Previously, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the pilot of a centralized digital signature portal on the VNeID electronic identification and authentication application platform.
This is an important step in digitizing data and administrative procedures and public services, according to Ho Chi Minh City Police. The deployment of digital signature portals on the VNeID application contributes to promoting safe, efficient and transparent electronic transactions, from public services, finance, trade to healthcare .

Breakthrough opportunities for digital transformation
Since the beginning of May, the Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification (RAR), in coordination with partners, public digital signature certification service providers and professional software development units, has piloted the Centralized Digital Signature Portal solution on VNeID.
To date, the connection has been made with five public digital signature certification service providers including VNPT, Viettel, Misa, Nacencomm and Softdreams. At the same time, the center is also gradually completing the connection procedures with other units such as FPT and Bkav.
Colonel Ngo Nhu Cuong, Deputy Director of the C06 Department of Administrative Police for Social Order, suggested that all parties promote the application of digital signature solutions in operations. “This is an important condition to build an effective, safe, and people-friendly digital transaction ecosystem, while at the same time properly implementing the requirements of Decision No. 06 of the Prime Minister on ensuring that 100% of digital citizen transactions are identified, digitally signed, and authenticated," said Mr. Cuong.
Many users agree that this is a major step forward in national digital transformation, bringing convenience, transparency, and wanting more new integrations. However, some still think that changes, especially reporting errors or asking for support, are still not met promptly.
One person appreciated the initiative of the Ministry of Public Security in building a centralized, convenient, and non-fragmented digital transaction ecosystem. “To be successful on a large scale, it is necessary to continue training users, ensure information security, and have clear incentive policies for groups of people who are not familiar with technology,” this person wrote.
