I started writing very early, when I was still in school , I sent articles to the Youth Union newspaper. At that time, the articles I wrote were just small notes, reflecting daily school life. I wrote on blank student paper, folded them neatly, put them in envelopes and sent them to the editorial office. The letters were sent without any response . I don't know what motivated me, but I didn't give up. I continued to write and send them. Then one day I opened the newspaper, how happy I was when my name was published. I shouted with joy, ran to show all my friends and teachers. The joy was even more overwhelming when I was recognized by the school before the flag-raising ceremony.
Less than a month later, I received a royalty slip from the post office . I still remember clearly that the article was paid seventy thousand dong by the editorial office. That was also the first money I earned. I treasured it, cherished it, and spent it wisely. I spent some of it on friends, and used the rest to buy envelopes and stamps to write and send out gradually. And not long after, I had another article published in the newspaper. The happiness was still intact as at the beginning. I received a letter from an editor in the editorial office, encouraging and guiding me on how to write better and sharper. I was very grateful from that very beginning.
Coming to the writing profession, I realized that it is not easy. The profession requires a sharp mind, creative thinking, and especially patience. I cannot follow a rut but have to explore many corners, although the topic is the same, the implementation must be unique and different to attract readers. Be patient in each of my words. Am I using words correctly? How to use words to reflect the most objective way possible. Although I know that every article sent to the editorial office, editors must read and edit. But as a writer, you cannot be careless with your words. I learned to wait patiently, learned to accept failure when the topic or article is not approved. And I also realized that writing is not only about writing hot topics to be excellent, but writing from simple things that reach readers is also a success.
I remember the time when I always held a small notebook and a pen in my hand, and wherever I went, I would write down ideas and topics very carefully. Being called a child journalist by everyone made me... extremely proud. My happiness was that my articles were well received by everyone. There were compliments and criticisms, but they were all positive. Thanks to writing, I have more friends. There are friends who are hundreds of kilometers away but still keep in touch, talk and progress to a close friendship.
Later, when I went to university, I changed my career path, not pursuing journalism as I had wished when I was young. I thought that my writing career would die out at that time, but no, once again my passion for writing rose up. I became more active with the media department at my faculty and school. And gradually continued to collaborate with many of my favorite newspapers. Studying hard again, keeping up with trends, I continued to explore each word, patiently searching for topics, and being creative. Writing has given me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge, gain more insight, and become more objective. And from there, I have formed a strong person, gathering the qualities to mature in the open path of life.
It has been almost twenty years since I picked up a pen. Whether I have succeeded or failed in my writing career, I still remember the six golden words that any writer considers as their "guiding principle": "Sharp pen, pure heart, bright mind". I am extremely grateful for those years, which created a beautiful youth in my life./.
