World coffee prices today
On the London exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures contract for September 2025 delivery closed this morning's trading session on July 15 at 3,448 USD/ton, up sharply by 7.21% (232 USD/ton) compared to yesterday's trading session; the November 2025 futures contract increased by 6.88% (218 USD/ton), to 3,388 USD/ton.
Similarly, on the New York Stock Exchange, compared to yesterday, the price of Arabica coffee futures for September 2025 delivery increased by 4.4% (12.6 US cents/pound), to 299.1 US cents/pound; the contract for December 2025 delivery increased by 3.9% (10.95 US cents/pound), to 291.4 US cents/pound.
After peaking in March this year, world coffee prices have continued to fall and are now at their lowest level in more than a year. The main reason comes from abundant global supply, as Brazil and Indonesia enter their new harvests, and exports from Vietnam also increase sharply.
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts that Brazil’s coffee output in the 2025-2026 crop year will reach about 65 million bags (60kg), a slight increase of 0.5% compared to the previous crop. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s coffee output is forecast to increase to nearly 1.85 million tons, an increase of about 7%, the highest in 4 years.
In Brazil, the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) recently revised up its forecast for coffee production this year to 57.5 million bags, up 4% from last month and up 0.8% from last year. This is a major shift in the view of IBGE, which has previously given rather cautious forecasts.
This year’s arabica output is estimated at 37.5 million bags, up slightly by 0.8% from last month but still 6.2% lower than the 2024-25 crop, the report said, citing the biennial cycle of the arabica crop, which is a year of decline.
Robusta, on the other hand, was revised up by 10.8% from last month’s forecast to 20 million bags, up 17.3% from the previous crop. This achievement was due to favorable weather conditions and large investments in fertilizers and farming techniques thanks to high prices last year.
According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the decline in coffee prices was also affected by strong selling pressure from speculators on the trading floor, in the context of the US continuously introducing new tax policies for many countries. The increase in the value of the USD compared to other major currencies also added pressure, causing coffee prices to fall.
