In the U18 women's doubles event that ended on the evening of July 14, the two representatives of the host country, Jolie Lam and Sophia Phuong Anh, excellently won the championship.
With impressive technique and outstanding coordination, this duo had overwhelming victories on their journey to the championship.
In the group stage, Jolie Lam/ Phuong Anh won all 2 matches to convincingly take the lead to advance to the quarter-finals.
Facing compatriots Vu Yen Nhi/Vu Yen Phuong in the quarter-finals, Jolie Lam/Phuong Anh continued to have an impressive 11-0 victory.
In the semi-finals, despite having to face the very strong pair Shi Yile and Chia Yi Lee, the two young talents of Vietnam showed their fighting spirit and won 11-7.
In the final match, the two Vietnamese representatives played excellently and completely overwhelmed Kei Sawaki and Horii Yuna (Japan), winning 15-4, thereby officially winning the U18 women's doubles championship. This is a resounding mark of Jolie Lam and Phuong Anh in the continental youth arena.
Jolie Lam is considered the most promising young talent in the Vietnamese female pickleball community today.
The tennis player born in 2008 stands out with his height of 1m7 and his abundant physical strength thanks to his tennis playing experience.
Having been familiar with tennis since the age of 12, Jolie Lam has made remarkable progress with 3 titles at national youth tournaments in 2024.
Although she has only been playing pickleball for about 5 months, Jolie Lam already has an impressive collection of titles and is a familiar face on the podium at major pickleball tournaments in Vietnam.
“We are very happy and surprised with the achievements our daughter has made. Currently, the family is investing as much as possible in Jolie Lam to develop her pickleball career.

At the Asia Pickleball Junior Open 2025, Jolie Lam will also compete in the U18 women's singles event taking place on July 15.
The 17-year-old will then travel to the international pickleball tournament in Malaysia, which will take place from July 17 to 20.
