Traffic is currently one of the development barriers of Lam Dong province after the merger.

To develop, first of all, we must pave the way. However, this is considered the top development barrier of Lam Dong province after the merger. Architect Tran Ngoc Chinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association, former Deputy Minister of Construction, commented: the transport and logistics infrastructure system of Lam Dong province is still weak.

Clearly identifying this, when working with the Department of Construction, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai emphasized: "Traffic is the lifeblood of the economy, we must ensure that key traffic projects are implemented on schedule and with the highest quality". Regarding this issue, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province also made specific proposals to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to soon recommend to the central ministries and branches to adjust and supplement the planning of the Dak Nong - Lam Dong - Binh Thuan expressway, support funding for the renovation of National Highway 28 and implement the project to upgrade National Highway 27, many of which are seriously degraded.

On June 29, Lam Dong province started construction of the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway. This is an important milestone marking the province's great efforts in improving the transport infrastructure system to meet the province's development needs. Continuing that momentum, Lam Dong province is currently making efforts to realize other expressway projects to enhance connectivity, gradually forming a complete transport infrastructure system to expand regional connectivity, making Lam Dong a new economic, cultural and tourism center of the country...

In addition, the management and use of natural resources, environment, land and minerals in the province currently still have many shortcomings. During the working session with the leaders of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong before the merger (June 9, in Da Lat), General Secretary To Lam also mentioned this issue. The General Secretary commented that the mineral planning caused long-term congestion in the Central Highlands, especially Dak Nong, Lam Dong and Binh Thuan. The General Secretary requested that Lam Dong province after the merger needs to have a solution to the planning problem.

In practice, currently in Lam Dong province, key projects, from new rural areas to green industry development and logistics, have not been implemented synchronously. In addition, the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources of the province, has not yet met the development requirements. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Trung Luong - Former Deputy Director of the Institute for Tourism Development Research (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) commented: Lam Dong province needs to soon implement solutions to meet the human resource needs. Especially human resources in the tourism industry. The shortage of human resources will reduce the competitiveness of the province, making it difficult to attract investment from domestic and foreign enterprises...

Fully aware of the difficulties and challenges that Lam Dong province is facing after the merger, at the Ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on the arrangement of provincial and communal administrative units of Lam Dong province, in his speech accepting the assignment, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province proposed to the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committees, ministries and branches in the coming time to continue to pay attention to helping, supporting and creating favorable conditions for Lam Dong province, especially in terms of special policies and mechanisms; Prioritize supporting central capital to invest in key infrastructure projects, especially the intra-provincial and inter-regional transport system, the project to build a shared geospatial database system for Lam Dong province to promote digital transformation, application of science and technology in management and operation of state agencies so that Lam Dong province has the opportunity to break through and develop with the country.
