Increase the number of specialized classes to welcome children of former Gia Lai province officials to study in Quy Nhon

(Dan Tri) - Two large specialized schools in the area, Le Quy Don (Quy Nhon) and Hung Vuong (Pleiku), are urgently carrying out procedures to accept students who are children of officials and civil servants of the former Gia Lai province, after the province was merged.

On July 10, the Departmentof Education and Training of Gia Lai province was assigned to direct two specialized high schools, Le Quy Don High School (Quy Nhon ward) and Hung Vuong High School (Pleiku ward) to carry out procedures to receive and transfer schools for students who wish to attend.

This is to create favorable conditions for students who are children of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of Gia Lai province (formerly) to transfer their work location to Quy Nhon, after the merger of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai provinces.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province submitted a document to the Provincial People's Committee requesting permission to increase the number of specialized students in specialized classes to accept students from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted to study at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province, the number of students transferring from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted is still being counted, but the admission process will fully comply with the regulations and rules of specialized schools.

Mr. Huynh Le Minh, Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, said that the total number of classes at the school is currently 27. After receiving instructions from the department, the school will arrange them reasonably and fully to ensure the reception of students transferred from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted.

Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted is the place that trains many excellent students at national and international levels, winning many Olympic prizes in the South and excellent student prizes in specialized schools in the Northern Delta. It is the leading school in the education sector of Gia Lai province.

One of the school's proud achievements this year is that Le Kien Thanh, a 12th grade IT student, won a Silver Medal at the Asia- Pacific Informatics Olympiad.

During the meeting to honor teachers and student Le Kien Thanh, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, sent his congratulations to the school, and emphasized that this is one of the prestigious schools, making a significant contribution to the education career of the province.
