On August 29, the Khanh Hoa Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board held a meeting and dialogue with HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and subcontractors to focus on supporting and removing difficulties, contributing to the implementation of the province's industrial development goals. Khanh Hoa Province Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board has granted the investment adjustment registration certificate to HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

According to the report of the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Khanh Hoa province, in the first 7 months of 2025, Van Phong Economic Zone (Van Phong EZ) attracted 14 new projects with a total capital of about 10,450.7 billion VND, 3 times higher than the same period. Projects in Van Phong EZ and industrial parks achieved revenue of 1.886 billion USD, exported 0.652 billion USD, paid 1,843 billion VND to the budget and created jobs for nearly 38,841 workers.

In particular, HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. continues to be the industry leader. In 7 months, the company has delivered more than 15 ships and cabins to international customers; achieved revenue of 376.7 million USD, paid 10.5 million USD to the budget and created jobs for more than 5,400 workers (including about 2,300 subcontractors). Within the framework of the conference, the Management Board of Khanh Hoa Economic Zones and Industrial Zones granted the investment adjustment registration certificate to HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

Mr. Kim Bo Sung - Director in charge of administrative division of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. shared that in nearly 30 years of establishment and development, HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has experienced many difficulties and challenges that seemed impossible to overcome. However, thanks to the attention, companionship and strong support from the leaders of Khanh Hoa province, especially from the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province, the company has stood firm and developed stably, increasingly affirming its position in the international market. Currently, HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is implementing investment procedures to expand port infrastructure to meet production and business needs in the coming time. In particular, the company has a medium-term investment plan until 2030 and a long-term plan until 2050; At the same time, carry out procedures related to adjusting the project's operating time by 20 years (2046 - 2066) and investing in expanding production infrastructure and port infrastructure to serve production activities in the coming time.

Through the conference, businesses recommended that the Khanh Hoa Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board soon provide practical support or transfer to competent authorities to remove the difficulties and problems the company is facing. At the same time, businesses also contributed ideas on issues related to infrastructure standards, vocational training, tripartite coordination mechanisms, site clearance, logistics and solutions to facilitate production and business activities. Thereby, helping the province improve the investment environment to attract more Korean investors to Van Phong Economic Zone and the province's industrial parks.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Tran Minh Chien - Head of the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Khanh Hoa province said that in reality, enterprises are facing many difficulties in expanding production, infrastructure connecting energy, water supply and drainage, human resources, progress in handling procedures and inter-sectoral coordination. Therefore, the board has established a specialized working group to act as a focal point to receive and resolve enterprises' recommendations. The board has also researched and issued a set of criteria to consider and decide on the maximum duration of investment projects of up to 70 years in order to be public, transparent, avoid sentimentality in the approval process, ensure investment attraction and legitimate rights of enterprises. The recommendations of enterprises at the conference were directly answered by the board's leaders and departments, branches and localities; the contents requiring coordination will be processed and answered in writing as soon as possible.
