Strolling around Triem Tay, I accidentally stumbled upon the space of Hoi An Eco-Hub, the first zero-waste education and learning demonstration center operated under the model of an independent social enterprise in Vietnam.
Hoi An Eco - Hub was founded by two social enterprises pioneering zero waste and sustainable development activities in Hoi An. Green Youth Collective (specializing in organic management and closed-loop farming systems) and Refillables Dong Day (specializing in reuse and refill strategies and projects).

Here, visitors can meet and talk with people working for the community, aiming for a zero-waste environment, experience cutting soap bars collected from hotels in Hoi An to recycle and give to the poor, students in disadvantaged areas, and hospitals.

Leaving Hoi An Eco-Hub, walking down the green bamboo road, passing houses and gardens fenced with tea leaves, it feels like being in another world , even though outside, the summer sun is as hot as 40 degrees Celsius. Triem Tay has formed the "Triem Tay Village" garden eco-tourism area with services such as: conference rooms, accommodation, restaurants, country markets, swimming pools.
Staying here, tourists can experience weaving mats with the local people, enjoy rustic dishes that are carefully and meticulously prepared. At “Triem Tay village”, sitting and relaxing under the rows of houses with wooden pillars, roofed entirely with bamboo and coconut thatch, which are the main materials abundant in Triem Tay land, creates intimacy, bringing people closer to nature.

The same goes for the accommodation system, all built and surrounded by carefully trimmed bamboo banks. The entire system of beds and rooms are meticulously designed from bamboo, friendly to nature.
Rows of wooden houses with thatched roofs made from water coconut trees are located close together, inspired by bamboo and water coconut trees, creating a gentle, cool and friendly atmosphere. In particular, the roads in Triem Tay only have a few sections that are lightly concreted, the rest mostly retain the wild beauty of dirt roads, making the countryside scenery more poetic...
