Share accommodation
In early July, on her personal page, Ms. Ngo Thi Na shared these heartwarming words: “ Kon Tum friends who are working in Quang Ngai , if you don't have a place to stay, come to my house. My house is about 7km from the center, right at Tra Khuc 3 bridge (new), a bit far but quiet, cool, airy. The house has 2 bedrooms, air conditioning, living room, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, just move in. I don't take money, if you really need it, feel free to contact me. You can pay for electricity every month, and for water, my house also has a well. Through here, I see that there are still many people from Kon Tum who have not found a place to live, I hope everyone will soon stabilize so they can work with peace of mind."

Immediately after that, Ms. Na received many messages of thanks, encouragement and even offers of accommodation. An officer from Kon Tum who had just moved to Quang Ngai for work quickly contacted her and received her offer of accommodation.
Both Na and her husband work in Mang Den commune, so they understand the feeling of being away from home and lacking everything, especially in the early days of working in a new place.
She said: “The house in Son Tinh commune was completed by my husband and I last year, located near my husband’s parents’ house. When we learned that many brothers and sisters from Kon Tum came to Quang Ngai and were still struggling to find a place to live, my husband and I both wanted to contribute a small part to share that difficulty.”
Ms. Na understands that having a stable place to live and not having to worry about living expenses will help people feel more secure and stay with their jobs for a long time. She hopes that a little sharing at the beginning will help them quickly integrate and work more effectively in the new environment.
Along with Ms. Na, many Quang Ngai people also shared warm and meaningful messages such as "A small house at the corner of Thien An mountain, Truong Quang Trong ward, if any brothers and sisters from Kon Tum come down and need a room, I will let them stay for free" with the phone number.
Warmth in the new land
Ms. Y Viet Sa, formerly Deputy Secretary of Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union, is currently working at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province.
Before going down to take up her assignment, she posted a line on social media looking for a place to live, hoping that if anyone knew of a place to rent at a reasonable price, they could recommend it. Unexpectedly, within a few hours, she received hundreds of messages asking for help and being willing to help – from complete strangers.
Thanks to the enthusiastic guidance via Facebook messages, when arriving in Quang Ngai, Ms. Sa visited 4 locations and at the 3rd place, she felt it was suitable in both location and living conditions.
She immediately called the landlord to finalize the lease and asked him to help her with something: while she was back in Kon Tum to take care of some business, could he help clean up before she moved in. The landlord had hired someone to clean the house thoroughly.
Having settled in, Ms. Sa needed to buy some more essential items. Thanks to a friend's introduction, and from one acquaintance to another, she was lucky to buy a set of bedding at the original price, as a small gift from the heart of a stranger. Knowing that her new place did not have a washing machine, they provided free laundry.
Amidst the feeling of being lost away from home, it was the heartfelt help from people she had never met that warmed Sa's heart.
“The kindness and sincerity of strangers touched me. I felt like I was not alone in a new land, but was being welcomed with all my heart,” Sa shared.

Ms. Sa said that before the province's merger, Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union closely coordinated with Quang Ngai Provincial Youth Union to go to Quang Ngai to conduct a pre-operational survey at the new working unit, in order to grasp the situation of the facilities and proactively bring along missing equipment, such as computers, working tools, etc.
For Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union officials who were assigned to work in Quang Ngai, the unit arranged vehicles to support the centralized transportation of belongings and motorbikes, helping them reduce difficulties in the moving process and stabilize their initial living conditions.
In addition, Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union also pays special attention to motivating the spirit, creating peace of mind and attachment for cadres in the initial stage of receiving work in the new locality, contributing to ensuring the transition takes place smoothly and effectively.
Quang Ngai province has arranged 4 locations for official housing including A3 Provincial Party Committee Guest House, T50 Guest House, Political School Dormitory and Le Khiet Specialized High School Dormitory.
Currently, construction units are urgently completing and renovating the above facilities to ensure spacious and clean accommodation, helping cadres from Kon Tum to soon stabilize their lives, feel secure at work and quickly adapt to the new working environment.
