Mbappe's lawyer has confirmed the withdrawal of a lawsuit over PSG's treatment of the French star during a tense period in 2023, including being left out of the first-team squad and forced to train alone. The lawsuit was filed in May.
However, the current Real Madrid star continues to pursue a lawsuit to recover 55 million euros in unpaid wages from PSG in the final month of his contract. According to L'Equipe , this financial dispute between Mbappe and the Parisian capital club's leadership is taking place extremely tensely.
Mbappe had previously accused PSG of forcing him to sign a new contract in 2023 amid tensions over his refusal to renew. Instead of training with the first team, the 1998-born player was relegated to a separate area where players who were excluded from the team's plans were concentrated.
Mbappe claims PSG's move was coercive and threatening. He accused PSG of pressing him into signing an unwanted contract, while refusing to pay 55 million euros including loyalty bonuses and unpaid wages for the 2022-2023 season.
The France captain will now turn his full attention to the 2025 Club World Cup semi-final against PSG on July 10.
This will be his first match against his former club since officially joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2024. This reunion promises to bring many emotions and unpredictable developments on the pitch.
