"I have received a few invitations to play in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. But I think that is not reasonable. I want to take time to rest and prepare carefully, because this year's season will be very long. Especially when there is also the World Cup at the end of the year" - Ronaldo shared.
Ronaldo's statement has dispelled rumors that the Portuguese superstar was being ignored by clubs at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
"I want to be ready not only for Al Nassr but also for the national team. That's why I decided to play the last match of the season in the UEFA Nations League and not pay attention to other invitations. And of course, I love this club (Al Nassr - PV)" - Ronaldo added.
The Portugal captain has confirmed that his goal when he renewed his contract with Al-Nassr is to win major trophies with the team.
"My goal has always been to achieve something important for Al Nassr. And I still believe I can do it," Ronaldo stressed. "That's why I signed for two more years - because I believe I will become a champion in Saudi Arabia," Ronaldo concluded.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2022 after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer. He scored 93 goals in 105 appearances for Al Nassr in all competitions. Recently, Ronaldo signed a "super contract" extension to continue with Al Nassr for another 2 years.
