Quang Tri General Hospital added 68 units of whole blood to its blood reserve.

QTO - In order to proactively reserve blood for emergency and patient treatment, especially during the National Day holiday on September 2, Quang Tri General Hospital has coordinated with the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Club to organize the 12th voluntary blood donation, collecting 68 units of whole blood.

According to the classification, 17 units of blood type A , 23 units of blood type B , 26 units of blood type O and 2 units of blood type AB were donated this time, adding to the hospital 's blood bank , ready to serve emergency and treatment work during the holidays.

Dr. Bui Ngoc Hoang, Head of the Department of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Quang Tri General Hospital, said that recently, due to the difficulty in blood supply from the Central Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, the hospital has increased the call for blood donations to ensure there is always enough blood to serve the treatment of patients. At the same time, to continue maintaining the blood reserve, starting from July 14, 2025 , Quang Tri General Hospital organizes voluntary blood donation activities every day of the week. In total, since the beginning of the year, Quang Tri General Hospital has organized 12 voluntary blood donation campaigns, collecting 1,413 units of blood and blood products . This meaningful activity not only supplements the precious blood source but also spreads the spirit of sharing and love in the community.
