Launching the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, appointing a series of officials

(Dan Tri) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was launched on the afternoon of March 1, consisting of 30 units and no longer having the General Department of Hydrometeorology. A series of officials were also appointed after the unit was reorganized.


On the afternoon of March 1, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held a ceremony to announce the National Assembly's resolution on the establishment of the Ministry and decisions on personnel work.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is a government agency performing state management functions in the following fields: Agriculture; forestry; salt industry; fisheries; irrigation; disaster prevention; rural development; land; water resources; mineral and geological resources; environment; hydrometeorology; climate change.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment also manages the State in the following areas: surveying and mapping; integrated management of resources and protection of the marine and island environment; remote sensing; and State management of public services in areas under the Ministry's management.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has 30 units, including 26 administrative units assisting the Minister in performing State management functions and 4 public service units.

The Minister of Agriculture and Environment is Mr. Do Duc Duy.

10 Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Environment include: Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Tran Quy Kien, Le Cong Thanh, Le Minh Ngan, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Tran Thanh Nam, Nguyen Quoc Tri, Phung Duc Tien, Hoang Trung, Vo Van Hung.

The Department of Hydrometeorology was established after the General Department of Hydrometeorology ceased to exist. Chief of Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thuong Hien was appointed as Director of the Department of Hydrometeorology.

On the same day, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced a series of decisions to appoint officials after completing the new apparatus.

Accordingly, Mr. Le Van Thanh , Chief of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, was appointed to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

8 Deputy Chiefs of Office of two ministries (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) were appointed to hold the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan , Director of the Center for Digital Transformation and Agricultural Statistics (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), was appointed to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

2 Deputy Chiefs of the Party Committee Office, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen (Chief of the Party - Mass Organizations Office, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) and Mr. Cu Ngoc Linh (Deputy Chief of the Office, Office of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).

Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy appointed Mr. Pham Tan Tuyen as Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel; Mr. Le Vu Tuan Anh as Chief Inspector of the Ministry; Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep as Director of the Department of Planning and Finance.

Mr. Pham Duc Luan was appointed as Director of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control; Mr. Hoang Ngoc Lam as Director of the Department of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information of Vietnam.

Mr. Tran Tuan Ngoc was appointed to the position of National Remote Sensing Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Long held the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology.

Mr. Tran Dinh Luan was appointed as Director of the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Control; Mr. Duong Tat Thang as Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine; Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang as Chief of Office of the National Mineral Reserves Assessment Council.

The Minister of Agriculture and Environment appointed Mr. Tran Binh Trong as Director of the Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam; Mr. Le Phu Ha as Director of the Department of Digital Transformation; Mr. Ngo Hong Phong as Director of the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development; Mr. Tran Cong Thang as Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment.

Mr. Le Quoc Thanh was appointed as Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center; Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hien as Director of the Department of Hydrometeorology; Mr. Tang The Cuong as Director of the Department of Climate Change.

Mr. Hoang Van Thuc was appointed as Director of the Department of Environment; Mr. Tran Quang Bao as Director of the Department of Forestry and Forestry; Mr. Nguyen Van Tai as Director of the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity.

Mr. Dao Trung Chinh was appointed as Director of the Department of Land Management; Mr. Chau Tran Vinh as Director of the Department of Water Resources Management; Mr. Nguyen Do Tuan Anh as Director of the Department of International Cooperation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Huynh Tan Dat was appointed as Director of the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection; Mr. Phan Tuan Hung as Director of the Legal Department; Mr. Le Duc Thinh as Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development; Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan as Director of the Department of Vietnam Sea and Islands.
