On July 10, Mr. Tran Van Tuc, Deputy Head of the Irrigation Sub-Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province) said that 23 irrigation works in mountainous communes were filled with rocks and soil, causing blockage of the canal system and disruption of irrigation. The total estimated cost to repair the damage is about 248 million VND.

The affected works are concentrated in communes such as Dak Ha, Ia Chim, Dak Koi, Dak To Re, Dak Ruong, Ya Ly, Ro Koi, Sa Binh, Dak To Kan, Dak To, Kon Dao, Mang But and Dak Cam ward. The landslide buried canals and ditches, causing many crop areas to be at risk of water shortage, seriously affecting agricultural production.
At the same time, a temporary iron suspension bridge built by the locals across Dak Rtim stream (Khơk Klong village, Rơ Kơi commune) was severely damaged and at risk of collapsing. This is a temporary bridge built by the villagers in 2024 for convenience in traveling and transporting agricultural products.

Mr. A Glaoh, Secretary and Head of Khơk Klong Village, said that on July 9, the village mobilized about 50 people to contribute labor and money, despite the rain, to repair the bridge. People replaced the suspension cables, welded the horizontal iron bars, and raised the bridge surface to ensure safety. After only one day, the bridge was repaired, and people felt secure to travel and produce.
