Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan surveyed production areas in An Giang.

On July 13, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Le Minh Hoan, and a delegation visited the production areas of many large companies in An Giang. Joining the delegation were Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Giang Thanh Khoa; relevant departments, agencies, businesses and localities.

Specifically, the delegation surveyed the production area of An Giang Vegetable and Food Joint Stock Company - Antesco (raw material area linked to young corn harvest in Long Kien commune, My An factory, company headquarters); the production area of Trung Son Joint Stock Company (To Chau ward); the rice production area to reduce greenhouse gas emissions according to the Project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030" of Trung An Kien Giang High-tech Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Binh Giang commune).

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 6 months of 2025, the province's agricultural production results achieved positive results in the context of facing many challenges. Rice output is estimated at nearly 5 million tons (exceeding 13.7%); aquatic exploitation reached 208,868 tons; aquaculture continued to be a strength with a total area of 296,096 hectares and an output of 573,658 tons.

After listening to reports from businesses, farmers, and local leaders, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan highly appreciated the results and development orientations of An Giang province in general and businesses in particular. At the same time, he emphasized that Resolution 57-NQ/TW in 2024 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Resolution 68-NQ/TW in 2025 on private economic development of the Politburo have great significance in promoting Vietnam's socio-economic development. Both resolutions aim to bring Vietnam to rapid and sustainable development and deep international integration.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan hopes that businesses will continue to promote the achieved results; have strategies to adapt to new visions, promote innovation, apply science and technology in building and developing new models, especially seizing opportunities and policies of Resolutions 57 and 68, creating breakthroughs in the coming time. Each company continues to promote the advantages of the private economy in the new period, being dynamic, creative and creating for farmers to apply technology in production. In particular, focusing on the viewpoint and business philosophy of "Kind to farmers, kind to customers"; strengthen the construction of activities and models connecting with farmers, creating a brand identity and linking to develop tourism in the province. An Giang provincial leaders need to pay attention to building a specific and practical agricultural development strategy, in which the strengths and potential of agricultural land are promoted, creating a closed agricultural system, minimizing waste, optimizing resources, and protecting the environment.
