From resolution to real life
On weekends, the family of Mr. Thai Hoang Thu (61 years old, residing in U Minh Thuong commune) is more crowded because all the children and grandchildren have returned home. Mr. Thu asks about the work and study situation of his children and grandchildren. He also teaches his children and grandchildren to live humanely, unite and help each other, respect grandparents, parents, and teachers; live responsibly towards the community and society, and especially practice, study, and improve themselves to improve their qualifications to become useful people for society... "Although the current "digital lifestyle" has significantly changed the needs and lifestyles in society, my family always values family traditions. My children and grandchildren all obey their grandparents, have jobs and positions in society" - Mr. Thu shared.
In Phu Quoc, these days, everywhere is bustling with the story of Phu Quoc accompanying APEC 2027. On the bus taking the famtrip group to survey tourist destinations, Mr. Truong Thanh, Director of a local travel company, shared the story of Phu Quoc's change in just the past few years. He cited a series of resort real estate projects, crowded beaches and the opportunities for Phu Quoc when it was chosen to host the APEC 2027 event with the proud eyes of a child of the pearl island.
When the group boarded the Hon Thom cable car with some foreign tourists, Mr. Truong Thanh confidently said in English: "Welcome to Phu Quoc. Let me introduce you to the world's longest three-rope sea-crossing cable car" which excited the group of foreign tourists.
The story of Mr. Thu's family or Phu Quoc, although just a small slice of An Giang's social life, through the stories, images of conscious, responsible, dynamic and integrated people are being formed and promoted in the work of building and developing new culture and people in the locality.
Building a new system of human values in An Giang
According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the process of development and integration, the province identifies people as an important factor, both the center and the goal and driving force of development. Therefore, the province attaches importance to improving the quality of human resources associated with educating patriotism, national pride, self-esteem, creativity, and a sense of social responsibility for all classes of people, especially the young generation.
In particular, implementing Resolution 33-NQ-TW, dated June 9, 2014 of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development, the sense of responsibility of the political system and people of all walks of life in the province has been raised; the role of State management of culture has been clearly demonstrated; the quality of human resources and intellectuals increasingly meets the requirements of development.
The movements of "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the "Program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" have been welcomed and responded to by all classes of people; community self-management has been promoted; village and neighborhood relationships have been strengthened... New values of culture and people in the period of industrialization, modernization and integration are being formed and affirmed.
To continue building and developing culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development, in the coming time, An Giang will continue to deploy, thoroughly grasp and implement policies and resolutions on building Vietnamese culture and people, especially the system of Vietnamese human values in the new period such as patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance, loyalty, honesty, responsibility, discipline, creativity and the system of modern, humane and responsible An Giang human values.
At the same time, the province focuses on building a civilized, friendly, open-minded, honest, creative and service-oriented office culture environment; improving public service ethics, spreading civilized behavior. Building a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with an industrial, responsible, dynamic and creative style in serving the people to contribute to building a modern, professional, effective and efficient administration. Focusing on vocational education, training highly skilled workers to meet the development needs of the labor market inside and outside the province; prioritizing ensuring resources for investment in science - technology development and innovation, accessing the knowledge economy, digital economy, etc.
