According to the recently announced enrollment plan, this year the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will enroll 5,550 students for the standard program (3,605 targets) and the English-taught program (1,380 targets), an increase of 400 students compared to last year.
Candidates can apply for admission using one or more of the following different admission methods:
- Direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and school regulations (1-5% of total quota);
- Comprehensive admission includes academic criteria: Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test scores, high school graduation exam scores, academic transcript scores, other capacities and social activities (95-99% of total quota).
A notable new point is that the school stipulates that the admission combination includes two compulsory subjects and a number of elective subjects, instead of the fixed three subjects as before. This is to ensure the rights of the first batch of candidates of the new generaleducation program. If a candidate registers for more than one combination, he/she will be able to choose the combination with the highest admission score.

The school notes that the threshold to ensure input quality of the comprehensive admission method is 50/100 points. Admission score = Academic score + Priority score.
Last year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology recruited more than 5,000 students. The combined admission score ranged from 55.38 to 84.16 points, the highest in Computer Science .
Tuition fees for the 2025 enrollment period are expected to range from 30-80 million VND/year, depending on the training program.
