At the medical tent of the Mobile Police Command in the Botanical Garden, the Deputy Minister of Health inspected medical equipment, machinery, medicine, and first aid vehicles and appreciated the unit's thorough preparation.

The Mobile Police Command has two medical tents located at the Botanical Garden, near where soldiers gather when marching to Ba Dinh Square. The medical team has 15 medical staff divided into two tents, each tent is fully equipped with equipment such as ventilators, capacitance machines, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, monitors, oxygen tanks, emergency medicines; there is a mobile ambulance ready to transport seriously ill patients to the nearest hospital.
Lieutenant Colonel, Doctor Vu The Hao, Deputy Head of the Medical Department of the Mobile Police Command, assigned to directly direct all aspects of medical work serving the A80 event, said that this morning, 15 parade groups still practiced normally, and in the afternoon the soldiers had a break to prepare for the march to Ba Dinh Square at 11:20 pm tonight.

The soldiers will gather in the area along the sidewalk from the gate of Bach Thao Park to Hung Vuong Street. Doctors will follow the parade with mobile medical kits to take care of the soldiers' health. If a soldier has a health problem, the doctor will treat it right at the parade, and only serious cases will be taken to the medical tent.
At the medical tent of the 19-8 Hospital on Doc Lap Street, modern emergency equipment was installed this morning. This afternoon, the tent received its first patients. They were people from Thai Binh who came to Hanoi early in the morning to watch the parade.
After lining up on Tran Phu Street, they asked their family members to "watch their seats" so they could walk to Ba Dinh Square to play. Due to a lot of walking, both of them were dehydrated and tired, so they went to the medical tent for examination.

Dr. Chu Duc Thanh, in charge of the medical tent at Hospital 19-8, said: "After being treated by the doctor and resting, both recovered and were able to go home."
Dr. Thanh said that 19-8 Hospital has 2 medical tents for the A80 event. The first tent is a first aid tent, specially designed for heat stroke resuscitation, sun protection, heat protection, equipped with high pressure steam fans combined with ice, serving promptly in cases of sunstroke, heatstroke, heat shock.

The second tent is the basic treatment and intensive care area. This tent is equipped almost like a miniature ICU: fully equipped with ventilators, defibrillators, monitors, electrocardiographs, oxygen tanks, portable suction machines, injection carts, mobile ambulances, and many other modern devices.
Thanks to that, doctors can handle everything from basic emergencies such as fainting, heatstroke, convulsions, trauma, to serious situations such as arrhythmia, respiratory failure, or underlying disease onset..., even the entire force of vehicles is ready for advanced cardiac arrest.

The 19-8 Hospital medical tent is always ready to serve all delegates, officers, soldiers, performing forces and people present at the event.
Dr. Thanh said that a number of scenarios for responding to disaster situations such as poisoning, mass trauma, fire and explosion accidents... are all planned, and then on-site coordination will be conducted between hospitals, first aid equipment will be ready, and victims will be transferred to the nearest hospitals.
According to Dr. Thanh, on the evening of September 27, before the preliminary rehearsal took place, the medical tent received a 91-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman (residing in Hong Ha ward, Hanoi) - veteran revolutionary cadres, with more than 65 years of Party membership... respectfully invited by the State to attend the A80 rehearsal at stand A.
Coming to watch the rehearsal, the two elders walked hand in hand from the security check point to Ba Dinh Square. However, due to their old age and many underlying diseases, they were not strong enough to walk to the stands, and suffered from high blood pressure and chest pain, so they were taken to the medical tent of the 19-8 Hospital. The elders were examined, encouraged and asked about by the medical staff on duty at the emergency tent. After the elders felt better, the doctors helped them to the nearest location so that they could join in the solemn and heroic atmosphere of the event.

According to Dr. Thanh, in addition to first aid for health incidents, doctors also served drinks and food (cookies) to many people at the scene who were tired and dehydrated.
