This is the final night of urgent and meticulous preparations towards the grand parade rehearsal on the morning of August 30 - a key activity before the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
Before the street closure (10pm on August 29), long lines of people on neighboring streets such as Ton Duc Thang, Chu Van An, Le Hong Phong... were walking excitedly, heading to the square, as happy as if they were going to a festival.

On the outer streets, tens of thousands of people stood on both sides of the road, at the intersections, eagerly waiting for tomorrow morning's event with enthusiasm, the sound of chatting and laughing spreading loudly. That space suddenly became a warm "community stage" filled with humanity, where the past and present blend together, stirring up many deep emotions...
Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, a veteran from Nghe An with silver hair and eyes shining with memories, stood silently on the side of the road, choked with emotion: "Our generation went through the difficult years of the resistance war. Today, looking at the young generation walking bravely, my heart feels like it is alive again, seeing that our nation still maintains the spirit of our ancestors, still enduring indomitably through the ups and downs of history. That is the belief, the hope for future generations."
Ms. Do Thi Thu, a veteran with 31 years of military service, traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to watch the parade and march, saying that the atmosphere was wonderful and filled with pride. Standing next to her was Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, from Khanh Hoa, who eagerly stayed up all night to wait for the moment when the troops entered Ba Dinh Square.

Wearing shirts printed with the national flag, the whole family of Ms. Hoang Le Thuy, in Dinh Cong, Hanoi, could not hide their joy. Her two sons, Pham Minh Quan and Pham Bao Nam, have been looking forward to the moment of seeing the police, soldiers and military forces marching and marching with their own eyes, right in front of them, not just through the media.
Not only cheering with words, many families living around Ba Dinh Square also brought cold bottles of water, bread, and fresh fruit to give to the soldiers or support people from far away. Those simple, sincere gestures under the Hanoi night light up the beautiful picture of the tradition of solidarity and unity of the Vietnamese people.

On the planned routes, tens of thousands of officers and soldiers from the armed forces - the Vietnam People's Army with their majestic green uniforms, the Vietnam People's Public Security with their neat and solid uniforms like a bronze wall, along with youth, women, students, and the masses... are gathering at Ba Dinh Square, turning this place into a sea of colorful people and a unified will.
Behind the brilliant and heroic atmosphere of the neat formations are the figures of the silent people, who are the solid foundation for the absolute safety of the event. Hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Capital Police, especially the Traffic Police force, have been working hard to ensure order and traffic safety. They stand at key intersections, patiently regulating each stream of vehicles, ensuring absolute safety for the moving groups. Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia, Head of the Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, said: All Traffic Police forces of the Capital, with the reinforcement of Traffic Police Departments across the country, are ready for "G hour".

In the area of the streets surrounding Ba Dinh Square such as Hung Vuong, Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc..., under the bright lights illuminating every corner, the Police and Military forces diligently perform the task of ensuring security and order. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dang Tuong, Deputy Head of the Staff Team, Mobile Police Department of Hanoi City Police, commanded the unit's working group to ensure security and order at the Hung Vuong - Tran Phu intersection. "From 2 p.m., we deployed forces to ensure security and order. Before that, from the night of August 28, the unit patrolled, reminded, and guided people on the streets to ensure safety. The task is heavy but extremely proud..." - he confided.

Not far away, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dang Dung, Deputy Chief of Ba Dinh Ward Police, continuously moved at the Hung Vuong - Tran Phu intersection to support the traffic police force in directing traffic before the road was closed. Then the medical force, with first aid kits always ready on their shoulders, was on standby, providing cool water and attentive care to the soldiers exhausted after many hours of intense training.
Student Hang Thi Minh Hue, a student from the Academy of Finance, and her friends are on duty assisting the Traffic Police and Ward Police in guiding people to stand on both sides of the road at designated locations to wait for the troops to enter Ba Dinh Square. Meanwhile, Nguyen Minh Ha's group of students quickly cleaned up plastic bags and paper waste on the sidewalks and roads, ensuring that the locations, streets, and roads around the area are clean. These contributions serve as a reminder that behind the halo, there are always silent sacrifices.

On the night of August 29, Hanoi will be a sleepless night. Hanoi - the capital of a thousand years of culture, the heart of the whole country, where every breath contributes to fostering faith and aspiration. And from that heart, the strength of solidarity and indomitable spirit are spreading strongly, lifting every Vietnamese person to the same rhythm, the same aspiration: to build a strong and prosperous country, so that future generations can be proud of a Vietnamese people that is forever resilient and radiant...
