On the evening of August 29, at the Provincial Culture-Tourism Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province held the opening ceremony of the Dak Lak Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025.

This is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), and is also an important event to introduce and promote the cultural values, tourism potential and culinary quintessence of the traditional Central Highlands to domestic and international friends, affirming the determination to develop tourism and services into a key economic sector, contributing to the overall growth target of the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Dak Lak Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, Tran Hong Tien, emphasized: 2025 marks an important turning point when Dak Lak and Phu Yen officially merged the Tourism Association, opening a new direction of cooperation between the blue sea of ​​Phu Yen and the great forest of Dak Lak. This connection not only enriches tourism products but also creates a unique journey of experience "From sea to forest", giving visitors the opportunity to explore the natural beauty, culture and unique cuisine of two lands rich in identity.

The work “Giant Ocean Tuna” was crafted from coconut shells and presented by artisan Pham Hong Bao to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province.

In addition, Dak Lak Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025 is an opportunity to honor the traditional and modern cultural values ​​of ethnic groups, to search for rustic, traditional dishes, delicious and unique dishes imbued with the culture and characteristics of ethnic groups living in the province to promote and introduce to tourists and people inside and outside the province; contributing to the development of the province's typical cuisine, enriching the Vietnamese culinary culture.

At the same time, it contributes to raising community awareness of culinary tourism, in order to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of ethnic groups in the province, demonstrating cultural features in enjoying food and serving food to tourists; creating professionalism from food quality to service style. This year's event brings together hundreds of booths from all over the provinces and cities, along with many unique activities: exhibitions, art performances, cultural-culinary exchanges, community tourism experience tours, introducing products linking the sea and the forest.

Dak Lak Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025 takes place from August 27 to September 2, with the highlight being a special art program celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam taking place at 7:30 p.m. on September 2 at the hall of the Dak Lak Provincial Culture and Tourism Center, Buon Ma Thuot Ward with the theme "Proud Melody" and at Nghinh Phong Tower Square, Tuy Hoa Ward with the theme "Thousand Waves".

At the opening ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province received the artifact “Giant ocean tuna” made from coconut shell, 3.8m long, 2.8m high, donated by artisan Pham Hong Bao (Binh SVC coconut handicraft) residing in Tuy Hoa ward, Dak Lak province. The work is not only a handicraft product, but also carries the soul of the eastern sea of ​​the province, where tuna has become a symbol closely associated with the life, economy and culture of the people.
