Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, August 30, 2025, in the Central Highlands region turned down sharply from 1,300 to 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 121,700 - 122,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 122,500 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 1,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 122,300 VND/kg, down 1,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND1,500/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND122,000/kg.

Domestic coffee prices have dropped sharply from VND1,300 to VND1,500 per kilogram after a long series of continuous increases. This is completely normal because prices cannot increase forever.
According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, domestic coffee prices have increased very quickly, from about VND95 million per ton at the end of July to more than VND120 million in mid-August. Coffee growers are therefore very excited and expect a highly profitable crop.
In the short term, the market is likely to see some technical corrections. The rapid price increase may cause many investors to take profits in early September. Moreover, if the weather in Brazil improves or the harvest progress is accelerated, the upward pressure on prices may ease.
It can be seen that the coffee market is currently in a very vibrant and potentially volatile phase. Farmers and domestic exporters need to take advantage of the opportunities from high prices, but at the same time, they must be extremely cautious and develop appropriate sales strategies to minimize risks when the market fluctuates strongly.
World coffee prices today
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery closed at $5,005/ton, down 0.06% ($3/ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract rose 1.25% ($60/ton) to $4,868/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery increased by 1.41% (5.45 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 393.2 US cents/pound. The December 2025 futures contract increased by 2.58% (9.75 US cents/pound), to 387.25 US cents/pound.
At the end of August 2025, world coffee prices recorded strong fluctuations on both the New York floor for Arabica and London for Robusta. After soaring during the week of August 18-24, the price of Arabica for September contracts on the ICE US floor rose to nearly 390 cents/pound, the highest in many months, while Robusta also maintained an impressive increase.
However, profit-taking pressure appeared in the last trading sessions of the month, causing prices to adjust slightly down. However, compared to the same period last year, prices remained high. In August alone, coffee prices increased by nearly 30% and were 50% higher than the same period in 2024, showing that the market is still very hot.
Moving into the fourth quarter of 2025, many forecasts indicate that the upward price trend will continue. Reports from reputable organizations indicate that supply, especially Robusta coffee, has yet to show clear signs of improvement. Although global production is expected to increase slightly, a severe shortage in the Arabica segment is forecast to persist.
This means that upward pressure on prices will remain high for at least the next crop season. Overall, the situation shows that world coffee prices are still in a tense period and it is necessary to closely monitor developments in supply and trade policy.
