Specifically, in key growing areas, coffee is fluctuating between 122,100-122,600 VND/kg. Of which, the highest price of 122,600 VND/kg is in Lam Dong province; the lowest is in Gia Lai province with 122,100 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at 122,400 VND/kg.
According to economic experts, in the short term, coffee prices may fluctuate strongly after the report from Conab is published in September. This report is expected to clarify the risk of production shortage due to weather and climate factors, thereby directly affecting Brazil's 2026-2027 crop year.
In addition, before the European Union (EU) deforestation ban officially takes effect later this year, many European corporations and importers are expected to increase purchases to ensure supply. Therefore, in the long term, the upward trend in coffee prices may still be maintained even when Vietnam enters a new harvest next month.
