On the morning of September 2, gasoline prices increased by about 1%, Brent oil increased by 0.67 USD/barrel, equivalent to 0.99%, to 68.15 USD/barrel; WTI oil increased by 0.6 USD/barrel, equivalent to 0.94%, to 64.611 USD/barrel.
Oil prices rose as attention turned to the upcoming meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+), which is expected to increase production, putting pressure on global oil prices. In August, Brent and WTI both recorded their first monthly decline after four consecutive months of increases, falling more than 6%.
According to analysts, the supply-demand situation is quite complicated, the market is likely to see increased supply while demand decreases after the peak driving season in the US ends. In addition, concerns about the impact of President Donald Trump's new tariff policies have also raised economic uncertainties.

Tanker tracking data cited by ANZ analysts showed that the market remains concerned about oil supplies from Russia, as weekly oil exports from the country’s ports fell to a four-week low of 2.72 million barrels per day.
Domestically, retail prices of petroleum products in the market of region 1 (near ports, warehouses, refineries...) announced by Petrolimex today (September 2) are as follows: RON 95-V gasoline 20,840 VND/liter; RON 95-III gasoline 20,360 VND/liter; E10 RON 95-III biofuel 20,080 VND/liter, E5 RON 92-II biofuel 19,770 VND/liter; 0.001SV diesel 18,810 VND/liter; 0.05S-II diesel 18,350 VND/liter; kerosene 18,220 VND/liter; mazut 18,320 VND/kg.
With world price developments, updated this morning (September 2), forecasts show that domestic gasoline prices may continue to increase from the afternoon of September 4.
Since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have gone through 34 adjustment sessions, of which 13 decreased, 15 increased and 6 were mixed./.
