Gasoline prices increase across the board, RON95 exceeds 20,300 VND/liter

Gasoline prices at today's adjustment period (August 28) were adjusted up. RON 95 gasoline price approached 20,500 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance announced changes in retail prices of petroleum products from this afternoon (August 28).

E5RON92 gasoline is not higher than 19,771 VND/liter (an increase of 307 VND/liter compared to the current base price)

RON95-III gasoline is not higher than VND 20,363/liter (an increase of VND 271/liter compared to the current base price)

Diesel oil 0.05S is not higher than 18,357 VND/liter (increase 452 VND/liter compared to current base price)

Kerosene is not higher than 18,225 VND/liter (an increase of 411 VND/liter compared to the current base price)

Madut 180CST 3.5S oil is not higher than 15,260 VND/kg (an increase of 144 VND/kg compared to the current base price).

Gasoline prices continue to rise.

Thus, domestic gasoline prices have increased twice in a row.

In the most recent adjustment (August 21), gasoline prices were adjusted up by 110-210 VND/liter. In the opposite direction, diesel prices were adjusted down by 170 VND/liter.

However, this proposal is facing some mixed opinions.

Many people wonder whether E10 gasoline affects the engine, especially with older cars or high-end imported cars that are recommended by manufacturers to use RON95 or higher.

Some opinions suggest that instead of requiring the use of only E10 biofuel, the management agency should let different types of gasoline exist in parallel, and customers can decide for themselves which type of gasoline to use, based on their needs and financial conditions.
