After the arrangement, An Khanh and Tien Lang communes basically achieved 19/19 advanced new rural criteria, 5/5 model new rural commune criteria for the period 2021 - 2025.

On August 28, the Urban Committee of the City People's Council organized a thematic supervision on "Results of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the city for the period 2021-2025" in An Khanh and Tien Lang communes.

Attending the supervision were comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and representatives of city departments and branches.

An Khanh commune was established on the basis of merging the original status of Tan Vien and My Duc communes and 7 villages of Thai Son commune of An Lao district (old). Before the arrangement, all 3 communes met the criteria for advanced new rural communes, with My Duc commune being recognized as meeting the model new rural standards. After the arrangement, An Khanh commune basically met 19/19 criteria for advanced new rural areas and 5/5 criteria for model new rural areas in the period 2021 - 2025. The whole commune implemented 83 projects, mobilized 915 households to donate land, with a total area of ​​over 17,800 m2. Up to now, 100% of the projects of the old My Duc commune have been accepted, handed over and put into use.

It is expected that by the end of 2025, the commune will complete the criteria for building a new model rural area in the two previously arranged areas (Tan Vien, Thai Son). The commune will continue to improve the quality of the criteria, increase the number of criteria on production, tourism and digital transformation.

Tien Lang commune was established on the basis of merging Tien Lang town and 3 communes: Quyet Tien, Tien Thanh, Khoi Nghia of Tien Lang district (old). Before the arrangement, Quyet Tien commune met the model new rural standards; Tien Thanh and Khoi Nghia communes met the advanced new rural standards. Up to now, Tien Lang commune has basically met 19/19 criteria for advanced new rural communes and 5/5 criteria for model new rural communes in the period 2021 - 2025. The total capital arranged and allocated up to June 2025 in the area reached 207 billion VND.

The communes requested the city to pay attention to speeding up the adjustment of land use planning and support funding for the construction of commune headquarters; adjust the land use plan for the project of site clearance, leveling and construction of auxiliary works for Thai Son Secondary School; support the transportation of waste to the city's centralized landfill.

Pay attention to supporting funding to maintain and improve criteria, especially difficult criteria such as: environment, security and order, lighting, production models, etc.

After directly surveying the progress of implementation and construction of new rural projects in An Khanh and Tien Lang communes and listening to the opinions of local government representatives and members of the monitoring delegation, comrade Pham Van Khanh, Head of the Urban Committee of the City People's Council, requested the communes to focus on leadership and direction to complete the construction of ongoing projects and works and put them into operation; step up propaganda and mobilize people to donate land for construction works. Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the two localities, the monitoring delegation received, synthesized and reported to the city for consideration and resolution.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, emphasized that building a new rural area has a starting point but no ending point. The city agreed on the viewpoint of building a new rural area in the direction of approaching urban standards.

Regarding An Khanh commune, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Council suggested that the locality properly assess the potential, promote advantages, maintain a consistent leadership viewpoint, make timely decisions associated with responsibility; and do a good job of planning. The commune needs to soon complete the criteria; pay attention to economic development, education, health, and social security policies; focus on cultural life, take care of the landscape, and build a wastewater treatment system so that the new rural movement can develop substantially and sustainably...

Tien Lang commune needs to focus on leadership and direction to soon complete the targets of building a new model rural area towards approaching urban criteria; review, update, and supplement planning tasks to meet the development requirements of the commune in the coming period.
