Strengthening the management of quality measurement standards, improving the quality of products and goods

(CT) - In August 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City conducted measurement inspections of prepackaged goods, measuring devices and the quality of liquefied petroleum gas circulating on the market at 40 establishments. As a result, 206/206 product labels and goods being sold and produced were in compliance with regulations; 76/76 measuring devices were inspected and still valid for inspection; 75/75 batches of prepackaged goods met measurement requirements; 10/10 samples of liquefied petroleum gas met quality requirements.

Nhat Tam Cooperative is one of the units supported by the program to support businesses in improving productivity and quality of products and goods.

The city also guided 7 enterprises to announce basic standards for gold jewelry products, vegetable essential oils, car polish, and cellulose-degrading biological products. It continued to guide Pham Nghia Food Joint Stock Company to carry out procedures to participate in the National Quality Award.

Through the program to support businesses in improving productivity and quality of products and goods by 2030 in Can Tho City, the city approved 5 businesses to be supported in performing scientific and technological tasks under the program.

According to the assessment of the City Department of Science and Technology, the program to support enterprises in improving productivity and quality of products and goods has been highly appreciated by many enterprises and cooperatives in recent times. The program has encouraged and supported enterprises and cooperatives in developing and applying standards, technical regulations, management systems, tools to improve productivity and quality, and applying modern technological solutions to production and business to enhance competitiveness and sustainable development.
