This is the symbolic final stop of the musical journey “Pride of Vietnam”, taking place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square – the heart of the Capital – within the framework of the Independence Festival “80 years of Pride of Vietnam”.
Featuring performances inspired by wartime art troupes, the "Pride of Vietnam" journey recreates the spirit in a contemporary way. |
The event was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students' Association, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, with the participation of more than 10,000 people.
The art program is divided into two parts: the solemn Ceremony, the emotional Festival, with three art chapters "Heroic History", "Continued Glory" and "Echoes of Vietnam". Music becomes the continuous flow, leading the audience from the memories of their ancestors to today's pride and future aspirations.
The show gathered artists spanning many generations: "old trees" such as People's Artist Thanh Hoa, People's Artist Bach Tuyet, the contemporary generation with singers My Linh, Phuong Thanh, Tung Duong, young artists with the family of singer Dong Nhi, Ong Cao Thang, little Winnie and singers Truc Nhan, Isaac, Suboi, Phuong My Chi, Phao, Lam Bao Ngoc, Muoi, Haley... brought fresh colors. In particular, the young musician group DTAP - the musical soul of the journey - skillfully connected tradition with modernity, creating a close and inspiring musical space.

The climax of the music night was when all the artists and tens of thousands of spectators simultaneously sang the final melody, creating a “sea of people” glowing with red and yellow stars. Music at this moment became the voice of the nation, echoing from history to the present. The high-altitude fireworks display at Hoan Kiem Lake closed the program, marking the brilliant moment of Independence Day September 2 and the journey of 80 years of Vietnamese Pride.
Starting from Ho Chi Minh City on August 19, “Proud of Vietnam” is not only a series of music nights but also a journey of memories and aspirations, through the provinces and cities: Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri, Nghe An, Phu Tho…, places rich in historical and cultural traditions. At each stop, music is combined with gratitude and exchange activities, bringing a visual experience of history and evoking national pride.
“Proud of Vietnam” is a prominent piece in the multi-platform communication campaign of the same name, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. In addition to the actual journey, the campaign also spreads strongly in the digital space.
On TikTok alone, there were more than 185,000 posts with 4.6 billion views, while on Facebook, the number was up to nearly 356,000 posts with an estimated 5 billion views with the hashtag #TuhaoVietNam. The theme song "My House Has a Flag" with the album Made in Vietnam also attracted hundreds of millions of views, becoming a song that accompanied the journey.
