The past few days have been the most difficult time for the Ha Tinh electricity sector as it has had to work hard to fix the power grid after the devastation caused by storm No. 5, while also having to prepare a plan to respond to floods and provide power during the National Day holiday on September 2. The entire force put aside their holidays to continue working on the grid, preparing scenarios to handle incidents to ensure uninterrupted power flow and safety for the people.

Mr. Pham Viet Thang - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Power Company said: "After many days of focusing on human resources and materials to overcome the consequences of the storm, along with the timely and effective support of the units of the Northern Power Corporation and the Central Power Corporation, the timely direction of the Board of Directors, the PCTT&TKCN Board of the company, up to now, the power grid system in Ha Tinh has been basically restored, gradually supplying electricity to customers, giving priority to key and essential loads. However, due to the impact of storms and rains, the risk of power grid incidents is still very high, while the weather continues to be complicated. To ensure safe, continuous and reliable operation, the company has directed its affiliated units and offices to be on duty 100% of the staff according to combat duty; arrange forces on duty, on duty operations, organize shock teams on duty 24/24h, ready to handle promptly when situations arise".
Accordingly, units are directed to strengthen inspection and patrol of routes, proactively detect and handle safety risks, closely coordinate with the Control Department to implement optimal operating methods, ensure safe and stable power supply under normal conditions, and flexibly switch methods when incidents occur, in order to minimize power outage time for customers.

The Control Room - Ha Tinh Power Company is considered the "heart", playing the role of central command. Since the day storm No. 5 made landfall until now, 100% of the staff are on duty on the system, continuously monitoring and analyzing operating data to advise the board of directors on optimal solutions; monitoring and handling incidents; coordinating repair and maintenance work...
Mr. Mai Thanh Tung - Head of the Dispatch Department said: "We strictly follow the operating regulations to operate the grid flexibly and proactively. In particular, we regularly coordinate closely with regional power companies to plan and ensure electricity for loads, priority areas and residential areas to serve people's electricity needs during the holidays."

In many areas, the power grid system has been basically restored, however, the severe consequences of storm No. 5 still left many difficulties: damaged power infrastructure, fallen trees affecting the safety corridor of the power grid. In some areas, the work of restoring power supply still encountered many obstacles, the electricity industry had to temporarily handle the situation to promptly supply power to people, then continue to complete and thoroughly overcome it. Right on the first day of the holiday (August 30), power units always had to be on duty, on the one hand, to come up with a response plan to the heavy rain situation due to the impact of storm No. 6, on the other hand, to continue to complete the task of overcoming incidents and clearing the safety corridor of the power grid.
Mr. Pham Luong Trung - Head of the Huong Khe Regional Power Management Team said: “By August 30, 100% of the unit's customers had their power restored. However, due to the large number of fallen trees in the area, which posed a risk to the safety of the power grid corridor, the unit still arranged forces to work normally despite the holiday. Yesterday, we arranged a shock team to go support the Ky Anh Regional Power Management Team; the remaining forces on duty at the unit continued to coordinate with local authorities and people to clean up, clear trees, and complete troubleshooting after storm No. 5. At the same time, the unit is ready with vehicles, materials and forces to respond to incidents according to the plan that has been developed in the event of unusual weather conditions.”

At other regional power management teams, the unit also strengthened the inspection regime of power lines and key transformer stations; continued to implement restoration and reinforcement measures at key locations and locations with high vulnerability to complex weather developments; cleared fallen trees... In the spirit of sharing, PC Ha Tinh also mobilized the entire company's forces, organized 6 trips to support power areas that suffered heavy damage.
Along with technical work, PC Ha Tinh also coordinates with media agencies and local authorities to promote safe and economical electricity use. All of this is to ensure the goal of providing safe, continuous and stable electricity, serving well the occasion of National Day September 2, the opening of the new school year 2025-2026, as well as the daily life and production of the people.
