On the evening of August 26 (Vietnam time), Apple sent out invitations to the iPhone 17 product launch event. Accordingly, the event will take place on September 9 with the official name "Awe Dropping".
Macworld tech expert Filipe Espósito reports that orange and dark blue will be two of the five color options available for the iPhone 17 Pro models. Coincidentally, the event logo features orange and dark blue tones, which could be a hint.
According to rumors, the iPhone 17 Pro will come in colors including: black, white, gray, dark blue and orange.
In addition, it is possible that Apple's new line of devices is equipped with a vapor chamber cooling system to improve heat dissipation, and the event logo that looks like an infrared heat map could be a hint.
If equipped with a vapor chamber, this technology will help prevent the iPhone 17 Pro from overheating during heavy, prolonged tasks like gaming. They consist of a thin, sealed metal chamber that contains a small amount of liquid.
As the iPhone heats up, the liquid turns to vapor and spreads across the chamber's surface. Eventually, the vapor cools and condenses, allowing the process to repeat.
The system will also help dissipate heat from the A19 Pro chip, which is expected to be equipped on Apple's new product.
Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra and several other Android smartphones have vapor chamber cooling systems, but the iPhone doesn't have such a feature yet.
Additionally, according to reputable leaks from Fixed Focus Digital and Instant Digital, Apple is testing reverse wireless charging for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models, with an expected capacity of 7.5W.
This feature will allow users to charge accessories such as AirPods and Apple Watch directly from the iPhone, turning the phone into a versatile mobile charging station.
In addition to the reverse charging feature, Majinbu, a reputable technology source, also revealed that Apple may make major structural changes on the iPhone 17 Pro: Rearranging the antenna position around the rear camera cluster.
This new design is said to be inspired by the approach adopted on the Apple Watch Ultra, where the antennas are cleverly integrated to maximize signal reception and stability.
The antenna arrangement around the camera cluster is expected to take advantage of less obstructed and interference-prone areas, helping to improve performance in crowded environments and ensure stable connections even when users are on the move.
Of course, all of this is just rumors until the official event takes place.
