Throughout the process of building and defending the country, the Science and Technology and Post and Telecommunications sectors have made silent but important contributions. From research and innovation in the resistance war against colonialism and imperialism to providing weapons and medicine; ensuring uninterrupted communication, to building modern telecommunications infrastructure to help Vietnam shorten the development gap, these contributions have become a lasting 'underground stream', closely associated with each step of the nation's growth. This is also the foundation for our country to confidently enter the period of global integration and competition.

Today, when Vietnam has transformed itself from a poor country to an upper middle-income country, with GDP per capita increasing 50 times, from less than 100 USD in 1986 to 5,000 USD in 2024. The requirement is to innovate the growth model, in which science and technology, innovation and digital transformation are identified as the three central pillars for Vietnam to make a breakthrough.
Science and technology provide the knowledge foundation, innovation creates new values, and digital transformation has the power to spread to all people, businesses, organizations and communities. The combination of these three factors will determine the competitiveness of the country, is the driving force to realize the aspiration of making Vietnam a developed country with high income and affirming the position and national character in the digital age.
