Cultural industries have made many new strides, gradually becoming important service economic sectors, actively contributing to the sustainable development of the country.

From traditional folk musical instruments, Tuong masks, to virtual studios, game arenas... all blend into the common space of 12 cultural industries at the National Achievement Exhibition "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" (Dong Anh, Hanoi ).

Each cultural industry with its own breakthroughs is clearly depicted in the exhibition “Creating to Build.”

New face of cultural industry

The National Achievement Exhibition is an unprecedented event, recreating the country's journey over the past 80 years. The Culture sector is privileged to be given the exclusive space in the A Block Exhibition Hall to showcase the achievements of the sector, contributing to the overall development picture of the country.

From now until September 5, artists from the Vietnam Drama Theater, Vietnam Circus Federation, National Traditional Arts Theater... will bring to the public attractive art performances, from famous excerpts of reformed opera, cheo, tuong, drama, to quan ho folk songs, circus performances...

The "picture" of achievements of 12 cultural industries is outlined including: Advertising; Architecture; Software and entertainment games; Handicrafts; Design; Cinema; Publishing; Fashion ; Performing arts; Fine arts, Photography and Exhibitions; Television and Radio; Cultural tourism.

The exhibition halls are designed as a continuous cultural flow, from traditional roots to modern creativity, connecting cultural industries into a vibrant ecosystem, with interconnectedness between cultural industries.

At the Performing Arts exhibition, artists also organized performances, introduced traditional musical instruments, performed ethnic folk songs such as Then singing, Tinh lute, performed traditional arts such as Cheo, Tuong, circus performances... contributing to bringing performing arts closer to the public.

The Vietnamese Cinema Exhibition is one of the destinations that attracts a large number of visitors, especially young people. Here, in addition to being able to watch 50 Vietnamese films for free, visitors to the exhibition also have the opportunity to directly experience modern cinema technologies, from motion capture, green screen settings, to virtual reality (VR). Many young people are excited to be able to "transform" into soldiers, historical characters or cartoon characters... when visiting the "Digital Film Studio" booth.

In particular, the film crew of “Ho linh trang sy: Bi am mausoleum of King Dinh” (produced by BHD and directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh) brings a special space, where history is recreated in a vivid and inspiring way.

The audience will experience a journey of discovery of the culture, architecture, costumes, weapons and martial arts of the Dinh Dynasty, the history of Tuong masks through elaborately recreated artifacts, demonstrating the research efforts of the production team with the advice of leading experts. This is an opportunity for the public, especially the younger generation, to touch history, listen to the immortal echoes of their ancestors and feel national pride.

In this exhibition, the film crew accompanied designer Mai Lam to introduce the embroidery collection "Plum Garden" and some traditional costumes used in the film.

On the opening day of August 28, the ancient costume parade led by People's Artist Tu Long added to the already heroic atmosphere of the exhibition.

According to People's Artist Tu Long, the space of "Ho linh trang si" at the exhibition is a strong affirmation that history is not only in books, but also alive, inspiring through art. It is the intersection between the past and the present, the flame that ignites national pride, inspiring the young generation who love art and Vietnamese history.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the message that the exhibition content wants to affirm is the remarkable and breakthrough development in a number of areas of the cultural industry, creating endogenous momentum for the national economy.

Cultural industry - endogenous driving force

The exhibition of 12 cultural industries is an opportunity for the public to explore, visualize clearly and immerse themselves in the vibrant life of Vietnam's creative cultural flow. In addition, it also affirms that the cultural industry is an important resource to promote socio-economic development, as well as exploit and optimize intellectual property, and solve employment through the production of more and more diverse and high-quality cultural industrial products and services.

Sharing with reporters of VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, said that Vietnamese circus artists are proud to participate in the performing arts section at this exhibition.

With attractive circus performances during the exhibition, the artists hope to convey to domestic and international audiences their unique creativity, contributing to spreading traditional cultural values ​​associated with the desire to enter a new era, so that artists have the luggage to embark on the journey of Vietnam's cultural industry.

“Hopefully, with the right investment and direction from the Party and State, our cultural industry will develop more and more, and artists will be able to confidently devote themselves to the development of culture and the journey of spreading culture to the world,” People's Artist Tong Toan Thang shared.

Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu, Director of Vietnam Drama Theater, shares the same feeling.

“We are very happy and proud that the art of drama has a space to promote and introduce here. This is an opportunity for us to promote drama and other art forms to a large number of domestic and international visitors,” the artist shared.

For director Phi Tien Son ( “Do you still remember or have you forgotten,” “Sky’s Net,” “Peach, Pho and Piano” ), he was moved to witness the development journey of the film industry shown at the exhibition.

“Coming here, visitors will understand more about cinema with filming techniques, modern equipment, virtual studios, digital studios… things that our generation could not even dream of having,” the director said.

The development of cultural industries is a strong trend, an important driving force for the socio-economic development of many countries in the world. The organization of the introduction of the achievements and development trends of 12 cultural industries at the National Achievement Exhibition helps management agencies, the business community, organizations, creative individuals and the public to better understand the importance of cultural industry development in socio-economic development and the current integration context./.
