The book provides a lot of valuable and meaningful information about Hung King worship.

The Hung King worship is not only a unique form of ancestor worship of the Vietnamese people since ancient times, but also a sacred cultural symbol of patriotism and compatriotism, developed and elevated into Vietnamese patriotism and humanism.

Throughout the history of the nation, this belief has held an important position in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. Because of these values, on December 6, 2012, the Hung King worship in Phu Tho, Vietnam, was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The book consists of two parts: "History and significance of Hung King worship in Vietnam", "Preserving and promoting the value of Hung King worship today".

Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan said that the book "Hung King Worship in Vietnam" was made to contribute to spreading the Hung King Worship to international friends; to further evaluate the Hung King Temple relics nationwide to have a plan to restore and embellish the worship places to be solemn and worthy; to collect and standardize the historical records and rituals of Hung King worship to create unity throughout the country; to develop solutions to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of humanity.

The articles in the book focus on clarifying the history of formation and significance of Hung King worship in Vietnam through the treasure trove of Han Nom heritage, ancient documents and research results of archaeology; the existence of Hung King worship in the consciousness of Vietnamese people and ethnic minorities in many regions of the country and of the Vietnamese community abroad.

The articles also affirm the role of Hung King worship in forming cultural identity, building Vietnamese people and in the strategy of great national unity for the goal of building and developing the country today.

In addition, the book also focuses on the issue of continuing to preserve and promote the values of the Hung King Worship Belief as a World Cultural Heritage, changes in the Hung Temple Festival in Vietnam, the exploitation of relics and the Hung Temple Festival in current sustainable tourism activities and issues raised for state management of religious activities and the preservation of human cultural heritage.

Affirming the everlasting value of the Ancestor Worship belief, a typical example of which is the Hung King Worship belief, as well as continuing to preserve, maintain and strongly promote the cultural value of this type of belief with a respectful attitude and practical actions is to contribute to preserving and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, so that "as long as the culture exists, the nation exists"./.
