Steady growth
In the first 6 months of 2025, Lam Dong's socio -economic situation has seen many fluctuations. Despite the huge workload and heavy tasks in the context of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, many economic indicators of the province still achieved and exceeded the set plan. Thanks to that, GRDP growth in the first quarter was quite stable.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the province's GRDP reached 5.97%. According to Lam Dong Department of Finance, the stable economic growth is due to many changes in the regions and fields contributing to GRDP.
For example, in the old Dak Nong area, in 6 months, GRDP of this area reached 7.9%, an increase of 2.16% over the same period in 2024. In which, the contribution of key sectors is quite stable.
First of all, in the agricultural sector, the output and quality of agricultural products increased. The scale of livestock increased steadily. The prices of agricultural products increased, contributing to promoting the value of the agricultural sector. Thanks to that, in 6 months, this sector contributed 9.09% to GRDP.

The industrial and construction sectors also achieved remarkable figures. In the second quarter of 2025 alone, the industrial sector increased by 6.13% compared to the same period in 2024. Disbursement of public investment and construction capital also had many changes. This is the premise for industry and construction to contribute 9.58% to GRDP.
In particular, the budget revenue sector in the first 6 months of the year achieved very impressive figures. By June 30, 2025, the State budget revenue of the Dak Nong region (old) was more than 2,317 billion VND, reaching 81% of the central budget estimate, 70% of the local budget estimate, and increasing by 54% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the workload to be solved in the first months of the year was extremely large. With the spirit of "running while queuing", the locality has made efforts to implement the tasks.
The province has been determined and regularly closely monitoring the implementation of programs and plans of each unit and locality. Difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of economic targets have been gradually resolved. Thanks to that, the province's economic growth has increased quite well. This will be the premise for the locality to make further efforts in the remaining time of 2025.
By the end of the second quarter of 2025, Lam Dong's GRDP growth will reach 5.97%. Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector will increase by 5.14%. The industry and construction sector will increase by 3.79%. The service sector will increase by 7.83%.
Focus on disbursement and revenue increase
According to the Department of Finance, although many economic indicators in the first 6 months in Lam Dong achieved positive results, to complete the target of GRDP growth of over 8% as planned, the locality needs to focus on determination and drastic solutions.

In the immediate future, public investment disbursement must be accelerated. By June 30, 2025, the province had only disbursed more than VND5,000 billion out of the total capital plan of VND18,700 billion, reaching 27.3% of the plan.
In fact, the undisbursed capital in 2025 is still very large. Meanwhile, the weather is entering the rainy season. Therefore, everyone must join in to complete everything, so that when the weather is favorable, progress can be accelerated, especially for key projects.

Currently, Lam Dong is focusing on removing obstacles related to key projects in the province. Among them, projects such as: Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway; Gia Nghia (Lam Dong) - Chon Thanh (Dong Nai) Expressway must be mentioned.
Along with the disbursement of public investment capital, localities have focused on exploiting the space to increase budget revenue. Up to now, the whole province has implemented 16,862 billion VND, an increase of 19.66% over the same period. Because high budget revenue contributes to the growth of the province's GRDP. Relevant units have actively supported and accelerated the issuance of investment policies to businesses and investors.

At the conference on implementing key socio-economic tasks and solutions in the coming time held on July 4, Director of the Department of Finance Phan The Hanh emphasized that to ensure GRDP growth of over 8%, Lam Dong's GRDP in the last 6 months of the year must reach 9.5%. To achieve this figure, the industrial and construction sectors must contribute 12%; agriculture, forestry and fishery must reach over 5%.
“The Department of Finance recommends that the Provincial People's Committee direct departments, branches and localities to focus on implementing tasks in key areas. Because only by accelerating these areas can we hope to achieve the expected growth,” Mr. Hanh proposed.

To achieve the target of GRDP growth of over 8%, also at the conference to deploy key socio-economic tasks and solutions in the coming time, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province Ho Van Muoi emphasized that all cadres and civil servants with new opportunities and responsibilities must join hands to develop the province.
“Now, there is no distinction between Dak Nong, Lam Dong, and Binh Thuan anymore, but all are one. We focus on putting the apparatus into smooth operation to successfully complete all assigned tasks,” Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested industry commanders to train localities on public administrative services and digital transformation. Units and localities focus on reviewing and supplementing planning and attracting investment.

“The budget collection sector must be promoted, focusing on potential areas for exploitation. Because budget collection must be achieved and exceeded to create conditions for many other sectors to accelerate,” Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed.
Regarding the internal organization arrangement, the Provincial People's Committee assigns it to the departments and branches. However, in the arrangement of cadres, it is necessary to choose the right person for the right job. All must take the criteria of work efficiency as the top priority. If the task is not completed, the leaders of those departments and branches must be responsible before the Provincial People's Committee.
