On July 6, at the ancient church of Saint-Ayoul - the ancient town of Provins, France, the opening ceremony of the space to promote the heritage of Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Co Loa relic site was held.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Olivier Lavenka, Mayor of Provins, France; Mr. Dinh Toan Thang - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to France; Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh - Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to UNESCO.

The space to promote the image of Co Loa Relic Site at Provins includes many contents, images, and video clips introducing the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and the Co Loa Special National Relic Site.

With the theme: "Co Loa - a legendary land" to introduce to viewers the historical value, unique relics and artifacts in Co Loa, the intangible cultural value of Co Loa with festivals, cuisine , customs and practices. Along with that is the image of the Dragon at the Co Loa relic site. In particular, the exhibition content is supported by video clips and QR Codes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang, Director of the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, said: "In 2022, in the ancient town of Provins, a space to promote the heritage of Thang Long Imperial Citadel was opened. A wonderful space that has left a deep impression on visitors and international friends. The image of a heritage site with a history of more than a thousand years, with unique archaeological artifacts, although very far away, has appeared in your beautiful ancient village and has brought us great honor and pride, as well as affirming our effective cooperation in the past time. The two heritage sites of Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Provins Ancient Town have accompanied each other through a long journey, originating from the close and close cooperative relationship between the two regions of Hanoi and Ile de France."

The Hanoi People's Committee and the Ile-de-France Regional Council officially established relations in 1989. Over the past 35 years, the Hanoi - Ile-de-France cooperation relationship has been continuously strengthened and developed in many fields, becoming a model of local-level cooperation between Vietnam and the French Republic.

The Hanoi - Ile-de-France cooperative relationship not only has a long history but also creates many extremely effective cooperative activities, programs and projects, spanning many fields: environment and sustainable development, urban planning, economic development, innovation and research, culture, heritage and tourism.

According to the cooperation agreement between the two cities, in recent times, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center has had many effective cooperation activities with heritage and tourism management agencies of the Ile de France Region such as: exchanging experiences and developing activities and projects on heritage conservation, tourism development, restoration of French architectural works at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; exchanging interns, training staff; organizing cross-exhibitions between the two heritages, etc.

The space to promote the heritage of Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Co Loa Relic Site in Provins is the clearest result of the sustainable cooperation between the Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and Provins Ancient Town, opening a new stage of development full of promise and practicality between the two units, for the goal of preserving and preserving the common heritage of humanity.
