This is the minimum score that candidates need to achieve to be eligible to apply for admission to the school in this year's university entrance exam.
This year, Foreign Trade University uses the competency assessment scores of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University and the thinking assessment score of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for admission. The threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) is 100/150; 850/1200 and 60/100 respectively.
The National Economics University takes the floor score according to the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment test score of 85/150. In addition, the school also considers admission based on the capacity assessment test score of Ho Chi Minh City National University and the thinking assessment test score of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with the floor scores of 700/1,200 and 60/100, respectively.
According to information from the School of Business Administration (Hanoi National University), candidates must achieve a score of 80/150 points or higher on the Hanoi National University's competency assessment test or 750/1,200 points on the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test to ensure the entrance score threshold.
At the same time, candidates must meet 1 of 2 conditions: Have a minimum score of 7.0 in each semester (6 semesters) of high school English or have an IELTS English certificate (or equivalent) of 5.5 or higher, valid for 2 years from the exam date as prescribed.
Using the results of the Hanoi National University (HAS) competency assessment test, Hanoi Open University uses the results of the 3 parts of the HSA test (quantitative thinking, qualitative thinking, and scientific). To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a total score of 75/150 points or higher, with no part of the 3 parts of the HSA test having a score equal to or below 5 points.
With the thinking assessment score of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (TSA), candidates must have a total score of 50/100 points or higher, with no score in each section of the TSA test below the prescribed level (Mathematical thinking equal to or below 4 points, reading comprehension equal to or below 2 points, scientific thinking/problem solving equal to or below 4 points).
This year, there are about 10 aptitude and thinking assessment exams nationally organized by universities. Of these, the three exams held by Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology are the largest in scale.
The results of these exams are used by many universities as a basis for admission. For example, the thinking assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology has been registered by more than 40 schools.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year candidates can register their university and college wishes for admission online on the Ministry's general admission support system from July 16 to 5:00 pm on July 28.
To ensure a high chance of admission, candidates should note that the floor score is the minimum score that candidates need to achieve to be eligible to apply for admission to the school. The actual admission score can be significantly higher than this floor score, depending on the competitiveness of each major and the number of applications.
Based on the number of candidates registering for admission, schools will determine the admission scores for each major. Candidates should avoid confusing these two scores.
