In his opening speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that in the festive and heroic atmosphere of the historic autumn days, the whole country was jubilantly celebrating the 80th anniversary of the heroic Vietnam People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day, the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, in the heroic capital Hanoi, a thousand years of culture, the heart of the whole country - the City for peace - the Capital of conscience and human dignity, we solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition of National Achievements with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the National Exhibition Center - a unique architectural work, open space, synchronous infrastructure and advanced technology.
"We respectfully commemorate and express our infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the great teacher of the Vietnamese Revolution, the national liberation hero, the world cultural celebrity of Vietnam; remember the great contributions of the elders and predecessors and express our gratitude to our compatriots, soldiers nationwide, and overseas Vietnamese throughout the periods who have contributed and devoted themselves to the great revolutionary cause of the Party, the people, and our nation," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.
The Head of Government recalled that exactly one year ago, on August 30, 2024, we attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the National Exhibition Center in the land of Dong Anh, a land of talented people, where Co Loa citadel is located, associated with the legend of the Golden Turtle in the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country. With the attention and direction of General Secretary To Lam; the Government, the Prime Minister, relevant ministries, branches and Hanoi City have proactively and actively participated with innovative thinking, taking drastic actions with the support and assistance of the people; directed, encouraged, and accompanied Vingroup Corporation to demonstrate high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, stick to the construction site, work with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to the wind and storm", "only working, not retreating", "working day, working night, working on holidays", "working continuously 24/7", "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "working through holidays, holidays, and Tet", working together, overcoming all difficulties, focusing on "lightning-fast, bold" construction with more than 1,000 engineers and workers working on the construction site, contributing to shortening the construction time from 2 years (according to the original plan) to 10 months (starting on August 30, 2024 and inaugurating on June 27, 2025), meeting all requirements set forth by the Prime Minister and according to the provisions of law.

The construction of the National Exhibition Center - a modern and spacious project - contributes to realizing the Conclusion of the Politburo on the Planning of Hanoi Capital, developing in the direction of "Cultural - Civilized - Modern" with a smart urban model, a creative, bright, green, clean and beautiful city.
The scale of the project is up to 90 hectares, of which the National Exhibition Center has more than 304,000 m2 of indoor area, 200,000 m2 of outdoor area, 03 international standard conference areas with a capacity of 5,000 people and a system of high-class, modern facilities, techniques and services. The scale of area and total investment capital are in the Top 10 largest national and international exhibition centers and fairs in the world.
The special and remarkable feature of the National Exhibition Center is the world's largest steel dome system, 56m high, 360m in diameter, weighing up to 24,000 tons, produced, designed and constructed by Vietnam itself, simulating a turtle shell. The project has turned the wild land along the Red River into an attractive destination, ready for major political, economic, cultural and artistic events of the country, region and the world; a meeting place for patriotic festivals and Vietnamese national pride.
According to the Prime Minister, the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is a special highlight, not only honoring the glorious historical journey, but also spreading patriotism, national pride, aspiration to rise up, affirming Vietnam's potential and position on the path of innovation, integration and sustainable development.
To prepare for this particularly important event, the Prime Minister decided to establish the Steering Committee for the Exhibition "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", organized 03 meetings of the Government Standing Committee, 05 meetings of the Steering Committee, issued many conclusions and notices for ministries and branches to continue to pay attention and contribute to organizing the Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The exhibition was held on the largest scale ever, with the participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with more than 230 booths across the entire area of the Exhibition Center.
The exhibition introduces the achievements of nearly 180 industries in various fields (industry, agriculture, trade, investment, culture, science and technology, education, health, environment, traditional craft villages, OCOP products, special products, national defense, security, foreign affairs...) with many documents, materials, artifacts, machinery and equipment, documentaries, reports, vividly and quite comprehensively reflecting the outstanding achievements during the "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" of our nation under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam; at the same time, demonstrating the cultural traditions, the spirit of enthusiastic work, effective production and business of the people and enterprises in all regions of the country; especially depicting the image of the country and people of Vietnam with thousands of years of heroic history of the nation; the culture imbued with national identity and unity in diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the abundance of products in all three regions of the North - Central - South; the development and progress of all ministries, departments, branches, 34 provinces and cities over the past 80 years.
The exhibition is scientifically, modernly and professionally designed; the display layout is rich, diverse and comprehensive; the content is authentic, engaging and convincing; the presentation is attractive and impressive through many means, forms and styles, from artifacts, images and documents presented by modern technologies (3D, virtual reality, multimedia audiovisual, artificial intelligence (AI) ...), bringing practicality, enjoyment and cultural depth to the nation.
The exhibition includes many special thematic areas, showing cross-sections of revolutionary history and vertical sections of core values and great achievements in the heroic history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.
Highlights include: (1) The central area of the Exhibition with the theme "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way", recreating an overview of important events, brilliant milestones, and successes under the leadership of the Party; (2) "Vietnam - Country - People" exhibition space on achievements in cultural and artistic development, honoring the beauty of nature, country and people of Vietnam; (3) "Economic Locomotive" exhibition space on achievements of state-owned corporations and groups; (4) "Start-up and nation building" exhibition space on achievements of typical private enterprises; (5) "Aspiration for the sky" exhibition space on the field of aerospace; (6) "Sword and Shield" exhibition space on achievements of the heroic People's Army and People's Public Security with modern weapons and technical equipment basically researched, manufactured and improved by Vietnam. In particular, the Exhibition Center has dedicated an entire building named "Culture lights the way for the nation" to display the unique cultural space and art of our nation through the regions of the country.

Looking back at the process of building the Exhibition Center and the preparation and organization of today's Exhibition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh summarized it in 36 words: "Resolute leadership and direction - Bold, lightning-fast construction - Effective public-private partnership - Unique architecture and landscape - Modern technology and management - Large scale and high quality". All of these factors create a comprehensive, unique space, a panoramic picture of the entire process of fighting for national liberation, unification, fighting, working, studying, producing and persistently creating of our people under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam and beloved Uncle Ho.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Exhibition "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" deeply reflects and is the crystallization of the contributions and dedication of the entire Party, people and army throughout the glorious and heroic history of the Vietnamese Revolution, with the very active, proactive and creative participation of Party agencies at the Central level, agencies of the National Assembly, all levels, sectors, localities, and representatives of the business community in the organization and implementation process.
The exhibition is also a "living school", with a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, bringing history closer and more accessible, so that today's generations can better understand their origins, the great sacrifices and achievements of previous generations; thereby adding motivation, inspiration, and nurturing the aspiration to bring the country steadily into a new era, an era of rising to wealth, civilization, prosperity, and prosperity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and enterprises to continue to carefully prepare and organize well all exhibition activities, art programs, conferences, exchanges, meetings, forums, etc. so that people in the country and international friends can experience, feel, and be proud of the country's achievements and enjoy the results of the National Exhibition Center as a new symbol of the capital and the whole country.

Reporting on the preparation for the implementation of the exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee said that, based on the Project to organize the exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" approved by the Steering Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively coordinated closely with the Central Committees, Ministries, branches, localities and Vingroup Corporation to mobilize all resources, focusing on organizing the exhibition with the highest determination and effort.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has presided over the development of the main idea outline of the Exhibition, closely coordinating with international consultants to complete the design of the identity system, applied in the overall exhibition space, ensuring generality, comprehensiveness, depth of thought and artistry, both modern and imbued with Vietnamese cultural elements. The main theme of the Exhibition is: "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", with the main content: Affirming the key factor for all successes is the wise leadership of the Party, the effective management and administration of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the business community, of the entire nation in the cause of building and developing the country over the past 80 years; Honoring the spirit of patriotism, the will of self-reliance and self-reliance of our nation; Inspiring and arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the new period. The exhibition is not only for propaganda and education purposes but also a cultural and experiential space for locals and international visitors.
Under the close direction of key leaders, the Government Standing Committee, directly the General Secretary and the Prime Minister, the preparation process for the Exhibition has been carried out urgently, synchronously and effectively. During the past time, the Government Standing Committee has organized many meetings, conducted field surveys, directed progress inspections, and promptly removed difficulties and obstacles.

The exhibition is organized in an open, multi-level format, with the exhibition space logically arranged on the indoor and outdoor exhibition area of the National Exhibition Center, up to nearly 260,000m2 , with 3 main zones:
The general exhibition area at Kim Quy Exhibition House with the theme "Vietnam - Journey to the New Era": Introducing and displaying the outstanding achievements of the Country in 80 years of construction and development; introducing Vietnamese culture - Country - People with a 4000-year cultural tradition; the rich cultural diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of resources, products of the three regions and outstanding architectural works of the past and present across the country; especially the exhibition space with the theme: "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way" recreating major events, brilliant milestones in the history of modern Vietnam, the achievements of the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam through the periods; the space displaying the history of formation, achievements of innovation along with the cultural identity, potential, and development advantages of localities with the theme "Rich province, strong country"; the space displaying the achievements of enterprises with the aspiration and spirit of rapid development "like Thanh Giong" as directed by General Secretary To Lam when meeting with the business community...
Outdoor exhibition areas in the West, South, and East courtyards with the theme "Integration and Development": Introducing green industries and the journey of green transformation and digital transformation; Vietnam's security and defense industry with the theme "Sword and Shield"; aviation and aerospace industry with "Aspiration for the Sky"; along with art performance spaces, tourism fairs, cuisine, etc.
International exhibition area and 12 cultural industries with the theme "Integration and Creativity" at exhibition hall block A: Displaying and arranging works and products of 12 cultural industries and achievements of each field, with the motto "Creativity for construction" and the exhibition space with the theme "Vietnam and the World".
According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, one of the highlights of this Exhibition is the strong application of modern technology and the introduction of many creative display ideas appearing for the first time in a national-scale exhibition. Virtual reality technology, augmented reality, interactive touch screens, 3D models and multimedia projections will be integrated synchronously in the exhibition spaces, helping the public not only observe but also directly interact, explore and experience, helping to convey content in a more intuitive, vivid and accessible way.
Communication, promotion and tourism connection work has also been carried out synchronously, in coordination with localities and travel businesses, with the expectation that the Exhibition will become a cultural highlight, along with a series of large-scale cultural and artistic events held before and during the Exhibition, which will contribute to attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists. The Organizing Committee is extremely pleased to report to the Party and State leaders and distinguished delegates and guests that just the 4 Concerts (con xot) held at the National Exhibition Center complex organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Television (VTV), and Vingroup have attracted the participation of nearly 120,000 fans, creating a strong ripple effect throughout society.
