With the message “Central Vietnam: One destination - Countless experiences”, the program introduces to more than 100 Indonesian partners new and unique tourism products of Da Nang and Hue, including MICE, wedding tourism, golf, luxury resorts, and Halal services friendly to Muslim guests.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong emphasized the strong cooperative relationship between the two countries, in which tourism is a potential economic pillar. Bilateral trade will reach 16.7 billion USD in 2024, with more than 184,000 Indonesian visitors to Vietnam. The Ambassador hopes that Central Vietnam will become an attractive destination thanks to diverse experiences from beach resorts, cultural heritage to traditional festivals.
Mr. Van Ba Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, said that the tourism industry in the central region focuses on promoting destinations and aims to open direct flights from major cities in Indonesia, while developing a Muslim-friendly service ecosystem.
Sharing with VNA reporters, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue City Department of Tourism, emphasized special tourism products serving the Malaysian and Indonesian markets, with prayer areas arranged at airports, hotels, restaurants and other service points.
Responding to feedback from Indonesian partners, Ms. Suzi Oktalina, Director of Gabriel Travel Agency, said that many Indonesian customers love to experience the cold weather in Hanoi and Sapa, and believe that Muslim-friendly destinations in Central Vietnam will be an attractive new choice in the future.
Within the framework of the program, 20 tourism businesses from Da Nang and Hue met with more than 100 Indonesian partners, opening up many specific cooperation opportunities in the coming time.
