During the resistance wars against France and the US, the Special Forces - District 1 Commandos, Da Nang together with the City Commandos achieved many resounding victories. The soldiers continuously organized surprise attacks, directly hitting the enemy's headquarters, warehouses, and important infrastructure.
Those victories became brilliant milestones in the history of the struggle of the army and people of Da Nang, contributing to glorifying the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, former Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, shared: "After the country's reunification, the veterans of the Special Forces - Commandos of District 1, Da Nang continued to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, enthusiastically participating in building and developing their homeland.
The Traditional Liaison Committee is maintained and strengthened, becoming a bridge connecting comradeship and teammates, while at the same time implementing many meaningful activities, supporting each other in life."

During the anti-American period, Chin Chu hamlet - the confluence of three rivers Co Co, Moi and Thanh Quyt used to be a revolutionary base, not only a liaison station, an important headquarters but also a place where people hid cadres and soldiers, contributing to the lasting strength of the Da Nang revolutionary movement.
