The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly will always support and accompany the Government to promote Vietnam-Iran economic cooperation in depth, for the benefit of the people of the two countries and the development of the two regions.

On the afternoon of August 8, within the framework of his official visit to Iran, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Abbas Aliabadi.

At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated Mr. Abbas Aliabadi on his appointment as Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran in June this year; thanked the contributions of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade as well as Minister Abbas Aliabadi personally, as Chairman of the Iranian branch of the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee, to trade cooperation in particular and cooperation between the two countries in general.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that economic and trade cooperation is an area that leaders of the two countries always pay great attention to.

Minister Abbas Aliabadi warmly welcomed National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on his official visit to Iran, expressing his joy at the recent signing of a cooperation agreement between the two countries' parliaments.

It is expected that within the framework of the visit, the two sides will sign a number of important cooperation documents in the fields of trade promotion, agriculture, justice, etc. The signing of these cooperation documents will create a basis to further promote economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Iran.

Minister Abbas Aliabadi also informed about some results achieved from the 9th meeting of the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee and hoped that the two sides would soon implement the 10th meeting.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the two sides need to maximize the potential for cooperation, promote the effectiveness of commitments, and create favorable conditions for businesses. The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly will always support and accompany the government to promote Vietnam-Iran economic cooperation in depth, for the benefit of the people of the two countries and the development of the two regions.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed directions for promoting cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, tourism, education, etc.

The two sides agreed to increase professional-level meetings to seek appropriate and effective cooperation mechanisms between the two countries, especially mechanisms connecting businesses with businesses and localities with localities.

The Governments and National Assemblies of the two countries focus on creating a legal corridor and a favorable environment for businesses and localities to enhance cooperation. At the same time, the two sides can act as a bridge for each other to penetrate regional markets.
