Returning after a period of breast cancer treatment, Hong Nhung did not avoid talking about this tumultuous period in a recent talk show.
She frankly said: “ I am also human, I have also collapsed. But I am an independent person, I rarely rely on anyone, so I have to accept reality and find a way to overcome it.”
For the Vietnamese music diva, that incident was not only a physical challenge, but also a touch on the limit of her spirit. However, instead of trying to "appear optimistic", Hong Nhung chose to face it calmly - partly thanks to the philosophy of life that she absorbed from Trinh Cong Son's music : " Every sadness will pass, like a gentle rain" . It is that spirit that helps her move forward, stronger and more profound than ever.
MC Nguyen Khang shared: “ After overcoming her illness, Hong Nhung is at her most energetic stage. I have never seen her so determined with music as she is now.”
Hong Nhung herself also admitted: after her encounter with illness, she realized that time is limited, and she wanted to do more, contribute more - both in life and music.
Diva Hong Nhung also revealed in the conversation that just one month after the surgery, she performed a special scene in the MV Tu Qua: being lifted by a crane to a height of 9m, hanging in the middle of the vast space of the Hanoi Opera House.
Despite having to take painkillers to complete the scene, the singer still completed all of the director's requests with absolute concentration, causing nearly 200 crew members to applaud in unison after the scene ended.
The MV is a milestone marking Hong Nhung's artistic return. This is also one of the music projects she has invested the most in so far, both in terms of visual scale and emotional depth.
Just a few dozen seconds of the trailer released was enough to make a strong impression on experts: cinematic frames, delicately controlled lighting, and suspended camera angles creating a surreal feeling.
In particular, the scene of the female singer being suspended in mid-air by a crane, falling freely from a height of 9 meters inside the Opera House - is considered the most dramatic highlight, both symbolic and demonstrating the artist's determination to overcome her limits after the incident.
The elaborate investment is not only in the image, but also in each musical note and artistic message. With Tu moi , Hong Nhung brings a contemplative song - soft, lingering but not tragic; a journey back into the inner self, where a woman who is both weak and brave tries to find herself after the impacts of life.
