Lao Cai province health system after merger

After the merger, Lao Cai province (new) will have 40 public health units and 5 private health units. Of which, there are 4 provincial general hospitals and 4 provincial specialized hospitals. District and city general hospitals have been renamed regional general hospitals; District-level health centers under the district-level People's Committees have been renamed and transferred to the Department of Health.

The grassroots health network includes 31 regional polyclinics under the management of the Department of Health, of which 13 regional polyclinics are under the dual-function health centers and operate in conjunction with health stations; 18 regional polyclinics are under the regional general hospitals and operate independently from the health centers. There are 319 health stations, of which 168 are under the management of the Department of Health and 151 are under the management of the Commune People's Committees.

Regional Health Center under the Department of Health performs functions and tasks according to the area of ​​communes and wards when implementing 2-level local government.

In addition, commune, ward and town health stations under the district health center will become health stations under the management of the new commune and ward people's committees. Each new commune will have one health station and the remaining health stations in the commune will become sub-health stations.

4. Sa Pa Town General Hospital changed its name to Lao Cai Province General Hospital No. 4.

5. Lao Cai City General Hospital changed its name to Lao Cai - Cam Duong Regional General Hospital.

6. Van Ban District General Hospital changed its name to Van Ban Regional General Hospital.

7. Bat Xat District General Hospital changed its name to Bat Xat Regional General Hospital.

8. Muong Khuong District General Hospital changed its name to Muong Khuong Regional General Hospital.

9. Simacai District General Hospital changed its name to Simacai Regional General Hospital.

10. Bac Ha District General Hospital changed its name to Bac Ha Regional General Hospital.
