Nearly 450 medical staff including nurses, midwives and medical technicians attended the training course.

The training aims to improve capacity, standardize testing techniques and communication skills for nurses, technicians and midwives throughout the hospital.
At the training course, Master Nguyen Ngoc Bich, Chief Technician of the Testing Center, Provincial General Hospital, imparted knowledge on: blood culture techniques, instructions for Bacrode application; common errors when taking venous blood; notes when taking samples for ethanol alcohol quantitative testing and when taking blood for blood transfusion testing; some common errors when taking blood.

Taking a specimen for testing is a technique of taking a quantity of blood, secretions, waste or tissue of a patient and sending it to the testing department. The test results are very important in the diagnosis, treatment, care and monitoring of patients, especially in some cases where tests play a decisive role in diagnosing early stage diseases and some diseases with unclear clinical symptoms.

The results of paraclinical tests help doctors diagnose diseases, monitor disease progression accurately, and provide information about the patient's condition, identify risks, and plan and evaluate effective care.
