When will Hanoi announce the 10th grade exam results?

Currently, the Examination Council for the 10th grade entrance exam to public high schools in Hanoi is completing the final stages of marking to announce the scores on July 4.

Previously, Hanoi also planned to announce the exam scores between July 4 and 6. At the same time, the Department will also announce the benchmark scores so that parents and students do not have to wait or worry.

After the 10th grade exam in Hanoi ended, based on the average score of each subject and coefficient, many teachers predicted that the standard score for entering 10th grade in Hanoi in 2025 could increase slightly compared to last year.

This year, Hanoi has adjusted the way it calculates admission scores. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and is not multiplied by the coefficient.

Regarding the admission principles, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training stipulates that candidates who wish to register for admission to the school will be recruited according to their admission scores from high to low until the quota is full. Candidates who are admitted to the first choice will not be considered for the following choices. The admission scores for the second and third choices must be 1 and 2 points higher than the first choice.

When the admission score is lowered, public high schools are allowed to admit students with 2nd and 3rd wishes who meet the admission requirements.

Students who wish to appeal their grades will submit their applications between July 4 and 10. From July 10 to 12, admitted students must confirm their admission (online or in person).

On July 17, schools that do not meet their quota will recruit additional students. On July 28, candidates will receive the results of the exam review. From July 28-30, schools will continue to process student applications after the review and successful candidates (after the review) will confirm their enrollment.
