On the morning of July 9, information from Vinh Hanh Commune Police, An Giang Province said that a fire had just broken out in the area, completely burning down a house along with many other properties. Fortunately, the authorities coordinated with local people to promptly rescue a boy trapped in the fire to safety.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Commune Police urgently deployed forces and fire fighting equipment to the scene to coordinate with local forces to participate in fire fighting, and at the same time called the Chau Thanh Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (under the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police) for support.
At the scene of the fire, the house was locked, the fire spread quickly, and smoke covered the entire house. While controlling and extinguishing the fire to prevent it from spreading to surrounding areas, the authorities discovered a boy over 10 years old (son of Mr. Lanh - the homeowner) in the house who was panicking because he was trapped in the fire. Immediately, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of An Giang Province and local people broke the door, rushed into the fire and brought the boy out safely.
At around 10:50 p.m., the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished. The fire completely burned down Mr. Lanh's house and many other properties, and the authorities are still continuing to count the damage. The boy who was rescued from the fire only suffered minor burns and was taken to the hospital for treatment. His health is now stable.
It is known that Nguyen Van Lanh works as a car repairman at home and buys and sells used cars. The fire broke out in an area used to display various types of motorbikes.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by authorities.
