In the face of recent developments in world petroleum product prices and the implementation of petroleum price management according to the market mechanism under State management, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance does not set aside and does not spend the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for all products.
Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. on July 10, the maximum retail price for petroleum products will be applied as follows: E5RON92 gasoline will not be higher than VND 19,659/liter (an increase of VND 214/liter compared to the current base price), VND 431/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline; RON95-III gasoline will not be higher than VND 20,090/liter (an increase of VND 184/liter compared to the current base price); 0.05S diesel will not be higher than VND 18,837/liter (an increase of VND 429/liter compared to the current base price); kerosene will not be higher than VND 18,371/liter (an increase of VND 239/liter compared to the current base price); Madut 180CST 3.5S oil is not higher than 15,563 VND/kg (244 VND/kg lower than the current base price).
Thus, since the beginning of the year, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 29 adjustments, of which RON 95 gasoline has increased 16 times and decreased 13 times; diesel has increased 15 times, decreased 13 times and remained unchanged once.
The adjustment of retail gasoline prices is decided by key traders and distributors, but cannot be made earlier than 3:00 p.m. on July 10, 2025.
The time to apply the new base price will last until the next announcement period of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Enterprises will adjust prices in accordance with the provisions of current Decrees and Circulars on the management of petroleum business and the use of the Price Stabilization Fund.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the implementation of regulations on ensuring petroleum supply, and strictly handle violations if detected.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this period (from July 3 to July 9) was affected by the following main factors: Escalating tensions in the Red Sea region; information about the US's new import tax policy on goods from trading partners; increasing US crude oil inventories; ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine... The above factors caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity in recent days.
The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on July 3 and the adjustment period on July 10 was 78.914 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (up 1.088 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.40%); 80.472 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 0.850 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.07%); 86.198 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 1.620 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.92%); 89.298 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (up 2.366 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.72%); 418.920 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 1.844 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 0.44%).
