At Doji , the listed price of gold bars is 89 - 90.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 200,000 VND/tael for buying and a decrease of 200,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday's closing price.
At PNJ, the price of gold bars is at 88.7 - 90.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 500,000 VND/tael for selling.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of gold bars is at 89.1 - 90.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling, unchanged from yesterday afternoon.
Gold price at SJC decreased slightly.
For gold rings, SJC is listing the price of gold rings at 75.65 - 77.35 million VND/tael for both buying and selling, down 100,000 VND/tael for buying and 200,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday's closing price.
Doji Hung Thinh Vuong 9999 ring gold stands at 76.25 - 77.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling, unchanged from yesterday.
The price of gold rings at PNJ is listed at 75.6 - 77.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling, down 100,000 VND/tael in both directions.
The price of Thang Long Dragon gold ring at Bao Tin Minh Chau stands at 76.13 - 77.63 million VND/tael, with no adjustment recorded.
Domestic gold prices fluctuated as the State Bank prepared for its 8th gold bar auction. As planned, the auction will take place at 9:30 a.m. on May 21 at the State Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department. The reference price for calculating the deposit value is VND88.6 million/tael, down VND290,000/tael compared to the May 16 auction of VND88.89 million/tael. In addition, other gold auction regulations remain unchanged.
Most recently, on May 16, the 7th gold auction was successful with 11 units winning 123 lots, equivalent to 12,300 taels of gold. The lowest winning bid price was 88.89 million VND/tael, the highest winning bid price was 88.92 million VND/tael. Thus, the total volume of gold successfully bid through 7 auctions was 27,200 taels.
At 8:10 a.m. today (Vietnam time), the world spot gold price stood at around 2,426.1 USD/ounce, up 8.1 USD/ounce compared to last night. The price of gold futures for June 2024 on the Comex New York floor was at 2,433.4 USD/ounce.
