As of 4:30 a.m. today (July 7, 2025), domestic pepper prices remained stable, fluctuating between 139,000 - 144,000 VND/kg, no change compared to the previous day.
Specifically, Dak Lak province continues to maintain the highest price in the region, anchored at 144,000 VND/kg. In Gia Lai , pepper prices remain unchanged at 139,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.
Other localities such as Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc and the Southeast region (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) also recorded stable pepper prices at 140,000 VND/kg, with no changes.
Thus, after many volatile sessions, the pepper market today is temporarily flat, showing a temporary balance between supply and demand while waiting for new information from the import-export market. Farmers and businesses continue to closely monitor price developments in the coming days to have appropriate plans.

In Vietnam and Brazil, pepper export prices remained stable. Specifically, Vietnamese black pepper 500 g/l and 550 g/l recorded at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton, while ASTA white pepper fluctuated around 8,950 USD/ton. Brazil also maintained stable prices, with ASTA 570 black pepper at 6,250 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, Malaysia continued to be stable in price, with ASTA black pepper reaching USD 8,900/ton and ASTA white pepper remaining at USD 11,750/ton.
The highlight was the Indonesian market, where pepper prices remained stable but at a high level, with black pepper reaching 7,541 USD/ton and white pepper recording 10,187 USD/ton.

Pepper price assessment and forecast: Pepper export turnover reaches 157.5 million USD in June 2025
The latest pepper information update shows that Vietnam's pepper import and export activities showed signs of slowing down in June 2025. This reflects the market's adjustment trend in the context of trade tariff risks and geopolitical tensions in many parts of the world.
According to preliminary data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), in June 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 23,440 tons of pepper of all kinds, including 19,698 tons of black pepper and 3,742 tons of white pepper, with a total turnover of 157.5 million USD. Compared to the previous month, export volume decreased by 11.4% and turnover decreased by 13.6%. However, compared to the same period in 2024, export volume decreased by 16.8% but turnover still increased by 11.6%.
The average export price in June recorded black pepper at 6,442 USD/ton, down 4% compared to the previous month, while white pepper reached 8,272 USD/ton, down 3.5%.
In terms of export markets, the US continued to be the largest market with a volume of 4,439 tons, down 30% compared to the previous month. In contrast, exports to China increased sharply by 28.5% to 3,330 tons. Other major markets included the UAE (1,727 tons), India (1,239 tons) and Germany (1,012 tons).
The top exporters in the month included Nedspice Vietnam (2,036 tonnes), Olam Vietnam (1,671 tonnes), Simexco Dak Lak (1,660 tonnes), Phuc Sinh (1,075 tonnes) and Tran Chau (911 tonnes).
In terms of imports, in June 2025, Vietnam imported 6,089 tons of pepper of all kinds, including 5,629 tons of black pepper and 460 tons of white pepper, with a total turnover of 37.9 million USD, down 10.9% in volume and 13.6% in turnover compared to the previous month. The main importers included Olam Vietnam (1,493 tons), Gia Vien Viet Nam (520 tons), Nedspice Vietnam (423 tons), Tran Chau (378 tons) and Simexco Dak Lak (299 tons).
Import supplies mainly came from Brazil with 3,463 tons and Cambodia with 1,777 tons.
The above situation shows that the Vietnamese pepper market is going through a period of adjustment, affected by global trade and geopolitical factors. Growers and businesses need to closely monitor market developments to have appropriate strategies in the coming time.
