Actively prepare for the Party Congress
According to the plan, Lao Chai border commune will hold the first Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term at the end of July 2025. Comrade Ly Tien Cong, Party Secretary and Chairman of Lao Chai Commune People's Council, said: The commune Party Committee has 25 affiliated Party cells with 476 Party members. The Congress is a broad political activity, gathering the will, strength, solidarity and unity of the entire Party Committee and the People. The Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee has carefully prepared in all aspects, clearly assigning people and tasks to sub-committees from documents, propaganda, ceremonies to logistics, security... to ensure the organization of the congress is solemn, safe, practical, effective, and not ostentatious.
With the spirit of “doing while perfecting”, the contents of the document are implemented closely, accurately reflecting reality and opening up key tasks for the coming term. Many specific solutions are proposed, emphasizing improving the quality of cadres and party members, strengthening inspection and supervision; promoting the potential and strengths of plants and animals; promoting poverty reduction; building new rural areas and creating breakthroughs in transport infrastructure.

These days, the red color of flags, slogans, and propaganda billboards have appeared on many central streets of the commune. On the commune's loudspeaker system, information about the meaning and importance of the congress is broadcast regularly every day, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the spirit towards the important political event of the entire Party and the entire people. The Mong, Dao, Tay, and Nung ethnic groups are all eagerly awaiting the big festival, carrying with them many wishes for change.
Mr. Hoang Trung Phuong, Director of the Royal Tea Cooperative, Nam Lan village, Lao Chai commune, excitedly expressed: The Royal Tea Cooperative annually purchases about 5 - 6 tons of fresh tea from the people. The tea is processed into 10 products, such as: Pu'er, Oriental beauty, Black tea, White tea...
The ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees here are hundreds of years old, spread across the Tay Con Linh range and located at an altitude of over 1,000 m. The tea is clean, sweet, and less bitter, so it is well received by consumers. For people in the border area, tea trees are like "fishing rods". Therefore, I hope that in the next term, the commune will have an orientation to develop tea in the direction of linking, improving quality and brand, associated with the OCOP Program, creating leverage to help people escape poverty".
Create new breakthroughs
After being established from the merger of 3 communes Lung Cu, Ma Le and Lung Tao, the new border commune Lung Cu has 700 households with 13 ethnic groups living together and a border length of more than 30 km, adjacent to neighboring China. This is not only a national "fence", but also a land with great potential for tourism development and specialty agriculture . The image of Lung Cu National Flagpole; Lo Lo Chai Cultural Tourism Village; Ma Le Typical Cultural Tourism Village... has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
Comrade Duong Ngoc Duc, Party Secretary and Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People's Council, said: Closely following the plan to organize Party Congresses at all levels, the process of drafting documents was conducted methodically and scientifically , widely gathering opinions from cadres, party members, intellectuals, prestigious people and the people.
Up to now, the commune's Document Subcommittee has completed and edited the 5th political report. The draft report identifies 5 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs. Building a clean and strong Party organization; firmly protecting national border sovereignty and developing green and sustainable agriculture and tourism, preserving indigenous cultural values... are the major orientations set for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Comrade Vang Di Tinh, Secretary of the Lo Lo Chai Village Party Cell, Lung Cu Commune happily shared: “The village is located at the foot of Dragon Mountain with 114 households, the Lo Lo ethnic group accounts for nearly 70%. More than half of the households in the village provide homestay services, the average income of households providing tourism services is 50 - 70 million VND/year, some households reach 200 million VND/year.
I strongly agree when the congress document clearly states the solution to promote tourism development commensurate with the potential of the region. What people expect is that in the next term, the commune will continue to have policies to preserve the rammed earth houses, handicrafts, festivals, and languages of the Lo Lo ethnic group, helping people to truly be the subject of developing community tourism."
Currently, the province has 17 border communes. With the spirit of democracy, intelligence and determination for innovation, the border communes are making efforts to carefully prepare for the Party Congress. Thereby, arousing the belief and aspiration to build the homeland at the border of the Fatherland.
