Within the framework of the working program in Kim Son district, on the morning of December 26, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation inspected a number of models and projects for socio -economic development in the district.
Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan and the working delegation inspected the Au Kim Dai project (Kim Chinh commune) - the project was inaugurated on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Ninh Binh province (April 1, 1992 - April 1, 2022).
Au Kim Dai was built to prevent salinity, retain fresh water and respond to the impact of rising sea levels for 6 districts and cities in the southern region of Ninh Binh province. The project management board for investment in construction of agricultural and rural works is the investor with a total investment of 543,455 billion VND (of which ODA capital is 453,053 billion VND; non-refundable aid capital is 7.91 billion VND; provincial budget counterpart capital is 82.48 billion VND).
The project was completed and handed over to the user, Ninh Binh Province Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, to promote investment efficiency, contribute to increasing the efficiency of existing locks; create conditions for the development of waterway traffic; and improve people's awareness of responding to climate change.
Next, the delegation visited the giant freshwater prawn farming model of Mr. Duong Viet Luynh's household in Binh Minh town. The model has a scale of 1.6 hectares of semi-intensive giant freshwater prawn farming (160,000 juvenile prawns). After 7 months of implementing the model, the estimated commercial prawn output reached 4,200 kg, revenue reached 966 million VND, and profit was about 405 million VND.
The model has initially created commercial products and is economically effective. The success of the model creates conditions for people to visit, study, and replicate in production areas, contributing to local economic development and creating many jobs for workers.
The delegation also inspected the Kim Son District Community Park and Cultural and Sports Center. The Park covers an area of nearly 8 hectares, with cultural and sports facilities, fountains and trees... The District Cultural and Sports Center includes facilities such as a stadium with a capacity of up to 4,000 spectators; a multi-purpose gymnasium, tennis courts, swimming pools and auxiliary facilities.
The Kim Son District Community Park and Cultural - Sports Center was built in 2020. Up to now, all items have been completed, becoming a place for entertainment and community activities for the people and is considered a highlight, creating a unique architectural and landscape space of Kim Son district urban area.
The delegation also surveyed the new urban area in the expanded Phat Diem urban planning. The urban area is planned to cover 162 hectares. When completed, it will create space and land fund for auctioning land use rights, developing the socio-economy, expanding Phat Diem urban area, creating momentum to accelerate the urbanization speed so that Kim Son district will soon become a town in the near future.
These are typical projects and models of Kim Son district that have been and are being effective, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
