In recent times, import-export enterprises in Quang Ninh have encountered many difficulties. One of the biggest obstacles is technical regulations and measures to protect goods from large markets such as the United States. In addition, high international shipping costs have increased product prices, reducing competitiveness compared to competitors.
Not only that, demanding markets such as Japan, the US and Europe are increasingly demanding in terms of traceability, quality and food safety. This businesses forces to invest more in processing and quality control, putting additional pressure on both finances and human resources.
However, thanks to the active participation of authorities at all levels and the quick adaptation of businesses, export activities in the province still achieved positive results. According to a report from the Department of Industry and Trade, the total export turnover of businesses in the province in the first 6 months of 2025 reached 1.95 billion USD, an increase of 15.2% over the same period last year and exceeded the set plan by 1.4%.
A bright spot in the export picture is NCT Logistics Trading Joint Stock Company, headquartered in Mong Cai 1 Ward. Although many key products such as electronic components, cotton yarn, textiles and fruits are greatly affected by market fluctuations, the Company still maintains stable export output to China.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Company exported about 500 containers of goods, each weighing from 10-28 tons depending on the type, achieving a growth rate of 50% over the same period last year. According to the Company's leaders, this recovery is not only the result of increased market demand after the Covid-19 pandemic, but also comes from the flexible transformation process within the enterprise.
Mr. Ninh Van Trinh, General Director of NCT Logistics Trading Joint Stock Company, shared: After the pandemic, the market is not as stable as before, prices and logistics costs fluctuate continuously. Enterprises must have flexible plans, otherwise they will lose steam in the market they are holding.
Established in 2010, the company currently has more than 100 employees, of which 28 are in charge of logistics services, acting as a bridge between domestic manufacturers and international consumer markets. To maintain growth momentum in the final months of the year, the company is focusing on enhancing digital transformation in the order coordination and management process, training logistics personnel more systematically, and maintaining flexibility in choosing routes, products, and export timing.
For Quang Ninh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company, a company headquartered in Hong Gai Ward, has also recorded positive growth in export activities. In the first 6 months of this year, the Company's total export output increased by 10% compared to the same period last year.
As a company with nearly 40 years of experience in the field of seafood export, with an annual output of about 1,000 tons, the Company currently focuses mainly on three major markets: Japan, Taiwan and the US. Of which, Japan and Taiwan are two traditional markets that account for a large proportion of export turnover.
In 2025, the Company successfully exported more than 200 tons of goods to the US. However, due to tariff barriers, exports to this market are temporarily suspended.
Mr. Do Quang Sang, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Company, said: Despite the difficulties with the US market, we still determine this as a long-term strategic direction. Conquering demanding markets is a key goal to enhance brand value and product quality.
The province's enterprises generally still show initiative, perseverance and innovation in each stage of production and export. Not only maintaining traditional markets, enterprises also gradually expanded to new markets, contributing positively to the import-export growth of Quang Ninh province.
